Had to buy some bread today so £1.20 added. Shame as I thought I was heading for a NSD!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0

Very small spend of 36p on 6 marshmallow flumps (reduced) for my girls and £2.50 in subway for a salad. Even though I have enough points for some free lunches couldn't waste them on a salad and I really fancied a salad! Total spend so far = £25 exactly. Hoping for a NSD tomorrow! Good luck everyoneGrocery Challenge 2017: Jan £85/£300

Hope I can still join in. £200 as usual. To include groceries (and household bits that we buy with the groceries) for 2 adults. Pet food will be a separate budget of £30 per month for 1 cat. So far we've spent £1.49 on some bacon. Luckily, my parents sent me home after Christmas well stocked up!0

Well I declare that the mushroom stroganoff from the recipie index is gorgeous. I hadn't got dried mushrooms do just used a mix of the normal ones I had in, and I had no creme frachie so used single soya cream. Along with 1/2pint red wine we had left but hadn't enjoyed drinking.
Can't believe I have been ignoring such a valuable mse resource.SPC~12 ot 124

Bought some veg, a massive 3kg bag spaghetti, 3 boxes of cereal on offer, some herbs, bacon and a few other bits. Till spat me out a 57p off my next shop and a £5 off £50 spend voucher, which I shall use next week.
Off to update sig.
We used to buy the 3kg bags of pasta all the time. Moved recently and found ourselves in a T*sco to get a few bits to last a couple of days until we had time to do a big shop. Not sure if this was an error, and I guess the quality may have been different (the OH and I have always held the belief that "pasta is pasta" - fresh aside) but gram for gram, it was cheaper to buy 6 bags of the value 500g packs than it was to get the 3kg bag. Naturally, I picked up 6 packs (if we had originally set out to buy that volume, no point in holding back) and went on our merry way. Cemented my belief that it's always worth doing the maths

I don't like the value pasta, but each to their own:) I don't mind paying the little extra to eat something I actually like, but thanks for the suggestion.November NSD's - 70 -
I'm loving this grocery challenge. It is changing the way I shop.
I used to go into the supermarket fairly blinkered and buy what I thought I needed and don't look around.
I went to the supermarket this evening and came out with a whole host of bargains (well I think they are) for the freezer.
5 x Warburtons Bread 10p per loaf
2 whole chickens £1.50 each
6 x taste the difference sausages 90p per pack
2 500g lean minced beef £2.50 per pack
250g carrots 15p
Im really happy with bargains and determined to stay within my stricked budget.Sealed Pot Challenge #6010 -
NSD today and not planning to buy any food until Saturday. I am away with work until Thursday so all meals are covered, I just need to make sure I only spend my allowance and I will be OK.
Made the chicken with brie and bacon tonight. All the brie melted off :rotfl: Still tasted nice and saved a few calories I suppose. Served it with veg and some garlic and herb diced potatoes I made up off the top of my head with the last little bit of mixed herbs in the jar and some garlic salt.
DH lunch for tomorrow is in the fridge, I have laid out the stuff to make our protein shake in the morning and some snacks for my journey. DH has enough HM RMs in the fridge to last him until I get back on Thursday dinner time, he just needs to eat them and not buy other stuff.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

£32.39 spend for me today. Includes lunches for the kids, milk, and more painkillers and dressings. I have a weekly shop coming tomorrow so will add that to my total once I know the final amount. I've ordered online and have spent half what I normally would on a weekly shop so fingers crossed it will help me cut our spending down a bit. Also ended up ordering in for the kids 🤐. I am feeling really sore today and dh can't stand and cook. Starting tomorrow we will be following a strict meal plan though so hopefully that won't happen again for quite a while! I am going to make up and freeze quick meals for those evenings where I am rushed/feeling sore so I'm not tempted again. Luckily we had enough leftovers in the fridge for dh and I so it could have been worseGC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100
