Just updated for Chart 4, mortgage payment gone out today and won't be making any more payments till next month.MFIT #73 - Pay all mortgage off in 3 years[STRIKE] £46,400[/STRIKE]£34,295 PAID £12,1050 -
My January OP is done too, so I'm ready to update for Chart 4 - currently at £109,394 so £6.8k paid off since the last update, and amazingly £25.6k paid off since the start of MFiT-T4. So at the one-third distance i'm still green.
I set a target of £75k repaid over three years, which was always going to be a huge ask for me, and although I've made it through year 1 I suspect I may start to dip a bit behind in year 2 - keeping on track needs an extra £5k that doesn't really seem to be in the budget this year. I'm happy though, even getting close to £75k would be superb.
Two big milestones coming up, Chart 6 should see me drop under the £100k mark, and at the same time i'll pass the £50k OP mark - so I'll be £50k and 8 years ahead of where I "should" be0 -
#59 reporting in:
January payment made - mortgage now at £222,884.32
No sure where this puts me against target, so I shall be keen to see the updated chart.
Happy new year everyone and good luck for 2017!
