Piggers I think it's still this virus that I'm trying to shake off, one minute I have energy and the next I'm fast asleep on the sofa. This is it's 5th week and it's getting me down now, the cough is the worst thing of it all. Hopefully it will have gone by Christmas..

Oooh I love your skeins of wool by the way Piggers, the colours are gorgeous :D I may have to buy a couple off you after Christmas :D

Oh and I'm not happy not only did I miss the list last night but I also forgot to do my veg order from the farm..So no fruit and veg this week. Thank gods we have an overload of the stuff..I can run it down now before the Christmas delivery of fruit and veg comes on the 20th :D

I totally get that.. I'm exhausted most of the time too.. I desperately need to wash my hair but every time I go in the bathroom I cough myself sick and end up cleaning that up instead.. so I'm wearing a hat!!! My hair feels disgusting though :(

I'm doing a special discount code after Christmas for my special fly minions <3 .. I have a few I've not added yet too.

My Christmas veg order is coming on Friday.. it'll all be gone by Christmas lol..

What does one do with 3 swedes, a ginormous cauliflower and a bag of radishes?

Got my antibiotics and a plan of action with dentist - although we're leaving it alone till after xmas. Need to call and ask what to do if I need more tablets over xmas, and what their opening hours are.

I've swept and mopped my porch - it's kind of a porch but open, IYSWIM, it's has a roof but no door, and one side is a low wall and railing. But it's tiled and now been de-grotted after the storm. Doormat still sopping though... Also wiped down outside of front door and hung my xmas wreath :)

Groceries arrived and been put away, and beef and jackets are in the oven for later. Started to pack, seen to a washload, and started on kitchen.

I think travel is ok now, we are going East Coast and then across once in Scotland rather than via the Northwest.

So I'm going to do myself a little list of what I need to take...

  • Like Bossy I have just been out and swept up the wet gungy leaves that have congregated around my back door and I am going out again in a minute with some soapy water to scrub the remains away.

Kitchen and utility room floors scrubbed and bottom cupboards wiped down. Who splashed what looks like ketchup all over the cupboard door and left it to dry on I wonder?

Both fridges could do with a blitz and the oven too if I can be bothered. Hugs to poorlies, was a bit worried about DS1 last night but he seems to have perked up. DS2 is still recovered from his cold.

Mince hotpot in the slow cooker so tea is sorted. Five minutes then I will go and sort outside before it gets dark.

Is it really mild with you? It is here, I have opened the windows to help the floor dry.

Done everything on the list and kitchen looks so much nicer - thanks Natty! Got a bit carried away and even washed out the kitchen bin and little caddy I use for compost (peelings etc); this was hard for me because of OCD but just tried to ignore what I was doing and think how nice it would look after. Both dogs were taken to the vets this morning so came out £60 worse off. Just going to put away clean washing and hang up next lot which consists of bedding so will be draped off every available shower rail/banister/airer etc - everything is so much easier in the summer isn't it.

Justforme it really does help doing a little bit every week doesn't it.

    AFB you're sounding very organised!

Bossy boo to abscesses, hope the dentist can make you more comfortable. When will you know if you'll actually be able to get to Scotland?

Nicki how's the window going? Got sunshine down here in Bristol so hope it's clear for you too.

Right, best sort this washing as it's not going to do itself.

Mumof2 Thank you, you sound pretty organised yourself! I quite surprised myself but since joining the flyladies and konmarie thread things are much more organised and easier to do which is fabulous.

Yay, all clean washing away, ironing finished and away, just got veg left to prep for tea. Meal planning in progress.

    Better get back to it.

    Afternoon all

    Thanks for the thread Natty.

Paid stuff done, cleaned toilets and sinks before I went. need to strip my bed next. DS1 and GF turned up at 7am, both unwell, had been to OOH in my town and felt too ill to go home to went to sleep in my bed, they have gone now but I'm taking no risks.

Need to pack a couple of parcels and walk to corner shop and then sort dinner and cake.

Right, time to get the dinner on - chicken in a sauce (?) with new pots and steamed veggies for tonight.

Hi all. Natty thanks for the list. I'm definitely in. Before I went on holiday I wasn't well, and I arrived back this morning to a tip. And flooding in the area. Bit different. None of our bags made the transfer at Amsterdam so I now have to sit in waiting for them rather than go to the gym as planned - less of a pain than them losing DH's on the way out so he had none of his diving kit for 24hrs.

Other than that we had a lovely time. But back to Xmas planning with a vengeance.

Only managed a catch up at the airport last night so hope everyone is well. Dizzy you seem remarkably calm. Glad it wasn't a total disaster. Yay for good insurance.

OK. Kitchen clear before bags arrive and I have to deal with a weeks worth of wet laundry.
