I don't want to be the one to state the blindingly obvious...but your Service Tag indicates the GX260 for which the latest BIOS is the A09.
I'm beginning to get a headache. :rotfl:

That's coz I've been a bit dyslexic, it's 24FMM0J, deffo a sx260 on the dell site... soz, all this xmas stuff is frazzling my brain :xmassign: :wall:

Oh, and the vga trick worked, with the SX driver ;)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

    Right, so......

after much faffing with Windows Update getting itself in a tizz and cpu-hogging.....

The Lunchbox Has Landed :rotfl: :rotfl:

now running W7 Pro 32-bit on 1.25GB RAM with a 4GB pagefile, with Kodi installed and operating (a few tweaks needed to improve the out-of-sync aoudio/video as time allows ;) )

The next step is to image the disk and try kodibuntu on there, safe in the knowledge I can re-instate a fully-working, streamimg-capable W7 system if it all goes T*TS-up with Linux again :rotfl: :D

You will, of course, realise that with that little memory there will be a significantly large amount of paging performed...
Can you not whap in another 2 GB?

That's if it doesn't catch fire or explode through a boiler/steam pressure fault first
Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.
