I passed my test in 1987 and was taking a look around the net earlier and can't believe the prices some of these are fetching.,but I digress, anyone care to add your favourite car or the car you owned from the 90's that is now a classic .....I'll start off with the Peugeot 205 GTI or maybe the Ford Sierra Cossie.....

Over to you...

Opel Manta GTE Exclusive in white with racing stripes. Not that quick but certainly looked the part.

I dreamt about modifications such as turbos and water injection, but they were out of my price range.

And brakes made from two dinner plates and a block of cheese.
    But they looked good !

Not quite the 90s but hubbies friend has recently paid £2k for a basic but immaculate 1989 mk2 fiesta.

If only could work out what late 90s cars that are bangernomics at the moment will become valuable in a few years as an investment.
  • The Volvo v40 was around in the 90's
The ultimate bagernomics machine, they have to take them round the back of the trade in garage and shoot them, they refuse to break down, owners get bored long before they need money spending on them, the T4 was a right wolf in sheep's clothing beat the BMW/Aidi / Golf GTI in to a pulp machine, if you can find one for sale.

Capri 2.8iS. Loved the styling, superb engine, great/exciting handling with the LSD and very comfy for long journeys. First car I ever drove at 125 mph. 22 mpg and rust developing in the wings behind the headlights meant I sold it before it bankrupted me. Today, I would fix the rust and live with the fuel thirst, but I didn't know as much then.

I use to have a Capri. It was what i thought of as my first 'nice' car.
I sold it for peanuts 'cos it failed the Mot, and i see what they're selling for now.

Fiat Uno Turbo IE. Sorry to say I did 135mph in it on the M1 (when I was young and foolish) The ultimate hot hatch at the time.

I thought the OP read "in the 90s" not "from the 90s". My mistake.
