I'd give my eye teeth to still have either of the two Rover 220 Coupe Turbos I had. Handling was pretty good, power was good, very comfy, reliable, 30+MPG if you didn't drive like a t!t.
I'd have another tomorrow if I could find one which wasn't either ruined by modifying or rusted to !!!!!!y.0 -

Especially if you include the tyre bill ... that suspension setup was great for handling but ate the tyres if pressing on a bit (and what was the point of having one if you weren't !)0 -
I use to have a Capri. It was what i thought of as my first 'nice' car.
I sold it for peanuts 'cos it failed the Mot, and i see what they're selling for now.
That was my first 'nice' car.
Not from the 90's though. it was 1972...I bought it in 1975
XDL 726L 2.0 GTXLR, evergreen metalic, steel sunroof, part cloth seats (reclining!!) 8 track remote control stereo...and Barry White playing, summer evenings with my then girlfriend Sarah!!

I ran a 1993 Gen 5 Celica as a daily for a few years and now have a 1995 Gen 6, the latter is arguably not a classic but I reckon the Gen 5 is a contender.
Mk2 MR2s count? :-D0 -

the lotus carlton is a good choice for a 90,s classic, i remember reading about two motoring journalists that took a lotus carlton over to germany for some high speed runs on the autobahn in search of 175 MPH
during the day neither of them got near 130MPH due to other traffic on the road so they went back at the dead of night and neither of them got it above 150MPH as they didn't have the kahunas and said it was unsafe
my mate had a very nice very lows Miles 1990 ford escort RS Turbo that could be considered a 90,s classic as could the later Ford escort cosworth with the whale tail0 -
What a fantastic era for cars, have many fond memories
I had two MK2 Fiesta XR2's and then a Series 2 Escort RS Turbo in Mercury Grey
I always wanted a Sapphire Cossie, have seen some for sale recently and cant believe the prices these are going for
I have also had in the last five years a MK2 Escort 4 door and a 3 door MK1 Escort
Had the forth fallen off or was it the two door estate?0 -
I went to look at and fell in love with a 1990 H plate sierra sapphire cosworth, the deal was all but done at a shade over 12K for a burgundy car with the black leather recaro interior with less than 8k miles car was mint and i was in love
the deal breaker was the £6500.00 a year insurance quote and that is living in a rural area, a cossie in the early 90,s it wasn't a case of will it get stolen more a case of when will it get stolen0 -
How about this? MG Maestro Turbo.
Austin Rovers last car with only 500 (+5 press cars) made.
My brothers mate had one and he claimed it kept up with my brother's 944 up to 100.
£13,000 new if I remember correctly  (late 80's early 90's)0 -
