Good morning everyone,
I hope everyone enjoyed the Bank Holiday (alas up here in Edinburgh it was just a normal day - but at least we get two days off at New Year!)
I've got a fairly quiet day planned here, lots of preparation for the New job, plus a bit of flying and that's about it. Plus DH is on cooking duty tonight.
Michelle: I'm sorry about the car - it's such a nightmare, I hope you get the locks sorted.
Solwaykid: Thanks for the thoughts about flying and working. It looks like 30 minute challenges will be the way to go!
Right on with work,
Cheers for now,

Morning all :hello:
DD is on a go slow...now I remember why I set multiple alarms every morning  Its taken her 30 minutes to go to the toilet, clean her teeth and wash her face :mad: No TV this morning for her! She can do a job instead
Right, I need to get on and get things sorted out. DD is back at school this time next week and I still have some bits to sort out  Doesn't help that our local Asda's George department (where I would usually buy any clothing for her from) has closed so they can add another floor to the Asda  So later this week it's a trip into town job but I need to go anyway and I'm going to make DD WALK all the way cause I'm a mean mummy :rotfl::rotfl:

Morning all.
WM on that's all so far today.
Will do the lounge shortly as I'm taking DS to the sports centre this afternoon for a cricket skills session. He gets occupied for 2 hours and I get 2 hours to read and relax. :j
Didn't manage the oven yesterday or hoovering and washing the floors so will carry that over to today.
Know what you mean about no-one caring what you do Becca.
Last week DH read one of my posts as I was typing and said 'oh one load in the washing machine, you really live on the edge don't you.'
No I don't which is the whole point!
It's the being on here knowing that others are doing the same stuff and sharing news and the support that's given so willingly which is what it's all about and makes it more bearable.
Hope the BBQ goes ok lil_me, fingers crossed for the weather....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Morning everyone,
Didn't manage to get back on here yesterday, as I made the most of the time OH and I had together, as we went to the flower festival (a bit disappointing and very expensive - £3 each to enter the church as they were trying to raise money for the church, so OH refused to go in, and went on a walk, and my Mum paid £2 worth for me). We then went to Mr T to get everything for lunches this week and had lunch there (I know, more expense), went to MIL on way home and had tea and some date and walnut cake that my Mum had bought at the festival, then watched a film at home and had a siesta. I then cleaned out the microwave using bicarb on a damp cloth (worked brilliantly), did a load of washing so that my work clothes were washed, whilst making a veggie sausage pie followed my hot Jamaica ginger cake with cream (yummy), then bed.
Can't believe that it has taken a good half hour to read through all of the posts that are now on the thread since I came on here yesterday morning.
My sister sort of put a word in for me at Zizzi Jill in that she said I would be interested in working there, and they said to bring in my CV, and after my shift at the pub on Saturday I took it in, and talked to one of my old school friends who is asisstant manager there, and she booked in the trial shift. I told her about my aim to go into teaching, and so she knows up front that I may not be there for that long, as some of the other managers have been really nasty to my sister since she told them that she was leaving (she said she would be there a year, and then found a job a month later), and she nearly walked out on Sunday night cos of it, so hope they are ok to me  .
Oh well, I'd better go and have my shower, and eat brekkie - I won't bother washing my hair til I get back from work, cos I always end up having to have a shower when I get home anyway, so may as well wait til then.
Will try to do some flying before I go to work at 12, cos I know what I'm like when I get back from a shift - I never feel like doing anything.

Morning all
Sat here having a lazy morning so far with a cup of coffee catching up with you all when I saw loads of emails coming in, 'wandered' over to see what that was about especially as I had already collected a load this morning.... argh ebay loads of shop items finished. So before anything else I need to restock, then I have got quite a few sales to wrap and pack before we go out to see DD and DS's adoptive grandparents. If the weather is anything like decent we are going to go to Clumber Park (NT) fly a kite and have a picnic.
No flying or very little here this week. I tried the campsite at the weekend that we love (plus I know I can manage the caravan there on my own, flat wide pitches) and they had no spaceafter feeling a tad sorry for myself I decided that I didn't want to camp anywhere else hence having days out this week.
The re enactment in Sheffield was great yesterday, kids had a great time and we got some pics of them dressed up as medieval soldiers and also stood on a tank.
So really I am an imposter yet again this week! So far Friday is the only day with nothing planned, apart from a poker night with my friend next door.
Hugs oohs and awwwws to everyone as appropriate.
lil_me hope the BBQ goes well.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Weeeeeeee!:T :j :T :j
This has nothing to do with flying (other than I'm flying round the room right now!) But the postman has just been and I've got the letter confirming my postgraduate studentship allowance etc for my start at University.
I've got four years funding - and if everything goes according to plan I'll be Dr 7WW at the end of it!

morning all
i was up far too late but never mind, didn't get up til 8.30 which is early by my standards but late by all yours i'm sure!
really need to do some work that i'm i'm paid for today, as well as the list. once the schools are back next week i'll be really busy at work so i'm not worried about sitting lightly to it at the moment.
i ordered clubcard bella italia vouchers for meal out later this week with uni friend, and 3 dvds (one for sister's birthday) with nectar points. oh, and a £5 costa voucher from pigsback.
i'm not sure if i said last week but me and my mum counted up all the money i've stuck in a jar since getting engaged (£2 coins, 20ps, coppers and the money i get for helping at weightwatchers) and there was £242 which is only £8 short of paying for my wedding dressi've put another few quid in this weekend so i must be almost there by now! will keep on saving for the shoes (£65) and alterations (about £80 i think).
right, will shift my butt to my work computer (am sitting on sofa with laptop at the moment) and get something done, i need to get to church by 12 so will fly this aft.
wondering whether i can be bothered to do a car boot as i've got loads of stuff, i think i am keeping marie curie shop going at the moment!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
