I was supposed to be getting a voucher for £50 for some ad-hoc work I did

Just had an email with an apology, they are now paying me by BACS (win!) AND sending a product up to £50 in the new year that I can choose from within several ranges (for the boys).
That sounds like a win-win situation. Well done :T

Thanks Lynne - I won't have a birthing pool worth £100 to sell every month though ;)
I agree but if you keep your eyes peeled other things will turn up - just not always where you expect them though ;)

    45p on Prolific

just got a call from the Tosco store. The driver should have informed her he was out of time but he didn't so she was unaware until he got back to the store and now there's no more slots, so the manager is going to come out in her own time after 10pm (if that's okay with me) and deliver it herself.
Aww - that's nice Lex and you're £10 better off as well :j

I'll warn you Siouxsie, it's quite long, but slightly addictive reading too. However, if I had to estimate, I'd say my 2015 fleabay earnings were boosted by about a third due to inspiration from this thread, so might be useful to some here :)
Thanks a million for the linky. I'll definitely have a look the morrow :D

Have a look at Martin's best bank and savings accounts.

Put as much as you can in a high interest current account and then 'drip-feed' it into the highest paying savings account you can afford. That seems to be the way he suggests doing it.

Remember that you don't have to leave money in an account once you have paid it in. So if you open a couple of accounts that both need a regular monthly pay-in you can pay it into one account and then pay it from that account to the other one.

Good luck and pm me if you need to :D

I like that idea Lynnejk - I have a sum to look after which could benefit from that kind of micro management - I;'ll go look at those threads after we can get back to normal on Jan 2 !
  • Not a bad day here - got on rather better with the Xmas shopping than I expected and spent less !

Then somebody turned up with payment for some work I did on an ad hoc basis - £260 :D - That puts us back closer to being on track for the month - even if he Did catch me in the kitchen and cost me a bottle of home made wine !
  • Finally got back in the ol' vivatic saddle with 50p.

Gotta make £6.03 before the end of the month. Losing... motivation...
