Needless to say, nothing to report here for what seems like ages:o

I started but gave up on this site as I could not get the crowd flower thingy to work. I do the inbox daily clicks, though don't count it daily on here. I am nearly at £16 so might get a pay out in 2016 :rotfl:

do the odd survey/offer and keep an eye on the inbox thread on mse. they are very helpful on sharing offers that pay out decent money for nothing or little to help boost it up.

I was very good and doing my daily clicks but it has gone away to teh side with other things so only on £5odd :(

I think I will give clixsense another go but hate doing crowdflower tasks.

dont forget those who did bespoke offers through quidco keep checking for yours to go payable. am still waiting on second lot to clear
  • @CBC - I would ordinarily use first class, yes. Not sent anything yet - I'm looking into listing. I however do not own a single book that would be able to go as a large letter so mine would never ever ever 'even itself out' in that way.

I wouldn't mind (well, I'd mind less) if we actually got the entire postage fee but you don't, because they charge fees on that too. What you actually get of postal credit is closer to £2.30 - amazon take a larger postage cut than ebay even - so you're still funding a large chunk of postage yourself at second class. I'm literally being left with less than the postage fee because they want to take more than you sell the item for in fees. At least eBay is only 10% - amazon is 15% PLUS 99p per item.

If they didn't take anything from postage and gave you the full £2.80 (we can but dream) then the 15% + 99p means that any item priced £1.17 or below is completely taken in fees. (£1.17 nets you precisely half a penny)

I know cbc can post her books for free :money: but you might want to look at posting via courier service like myhermes. £2.60 to drop book at a parcel shop, it is tracked for free, and usually delivered within 2 days.

So might still be worth your while selling on amazon. Can send books upto 1kg for £2.60.
  • Clixsense isn't fast... unless you get lucky and get a whacking survey but it all adds up, though not necessarily as fast as other sites. The crowdflower thingy can be a bit tempremental (is that spelt right?) but the clicks add up fast and the bonus helps.

I use inbox too - but only for the paid emails and the search engine. Once you get to "gold" Lynne, it'll go a bit faster as you get 10p extra if you do 4 daily searches that credit.

In others news - I cashed out on inbox (won't arrive til after xmas and prob won't get banked til August.. wish they did paypal or bacs, and I have finally logged out of mfortune -new addiction methinks.

I don't use MyHermes since every single time (without fail! In 3 different places!) I've had something delivered with them they've left in a 'safe place' like the wheelie bin on bin day, or chucked it over a fence, or just left it on the doorstep in full view of everyone. To say I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them is being generous. At this point I actively avoid companies who send stuff with them because I never get it.

Yodel are only marginally better. I say that, but last time a company used them to send a thing to me it got delivered 2 doors down with them claiming it was delivered to me (not left with a neighbour - that they had actually given the parcel to me, somehow, in the wrong building). Took me ages to sort that out and get the stuff I ordered because I had to prove it wasn't me!

    They're absolutely horrendous.

ETA: there's also the fact I don't own a printer so I can't use any service that requires printing a label. I can use parcelforce because you can pay for it at the post office but on small items they're more expensive than RM.

feel free for spreeing out! We may get to 1000 posts before 31 December lol.

I can imagine this thread will be very quiet for a few days soon, so we need to post a much as possible lol.
Ok gang. To get to the 1000 posts for the 100 birthday we need to post just over 38 a day (I've not included Christmas day itself) :rotfl:

So I'm sure we can do it if we all make an effort eh :)

Oh and I've decided it's now officially the Christmas period. You can all wear silly hats and drink egg-nog or mulled wine (in moderation of course) but if you must sing carols please can you do it quietly
