Hi........signed up to Prolific after reading this thread but not sure if I'm doing something wrong? Have been signed up for a week but each time I log into it.......it says "currently you arent eligible for studies" (i earnt £3 on my first day)

    any advice gratefully received

Sugarplum is right, they are academics and on break now, so surveys are quieter, apart from the ones abroad. Had a bit of a run in with one who agreed to pay me in the end. I don't normally argue lol, I let it go, but this one was unfair.

What browser do you use? are you able to keep computer on all day or is it a case of in the evenings? You can get a notifier from the browser when the prolific academic page changes. This is what I use when I am on the laptop. it tells me when there is a new survey and when the status changes on my account, ie something goes payable.

hopefully you will have more in January when they are back.

I'm feeling a bit more positive today although my boys have gone off this morning to spend Chridtmas with their dad which made me a bit emotional! It's only the second time they have not been with me and they are 20 so can't really complain but it just feels weird.
It's bound to feel strange if you aren't used to it. Hope you've got some nice plans in place for yourself until they are due back.

I haven't spent Chrissy with mine since 1995, so I suppose I'm kind of used to it by now. My DH is lovely and we always have an enjoyable time. Still feel a bit wistful at times though.

This was a small stone with quite a nice fossil showing well - so I thought "Well it's Xmas - someone must know somebody who would like it ....." ;) - and about £20 seemed to be the "About right" price to pay for a prezzy
Well spotted and well done for having the thought :T

how do you find clixsense? I hear people saying they do well with it. I used it for a while but got fed up with clicking on ads, etc

£34.48 just transferred from Paypal for the few small sales I made tonight, taking me over the halfway mark. Off to the Post Office first thing to try to get them there in time for Christmas

Edit: Just realised it's a 31 day month so I'm not quite over the halfway mark yet. Almost.....
December is often the hardest month to make money, so you are doing really well to have made what you have. Well done

/Sorry if this post doesn't make any sense it's cos I was replying to Aesop and lots of you posted while I was typing. I'm talking about Clixsense!/

I go through phases... it's mindless at times but I've racked up over $300 since Jan, which is a miracle cos I didn't do any at all in Nov when I was doing NaNoWriMo. The surveys can be quite good, and the tasks seem to pay well.. but i have to be in the right sort of mood for them and at the momemt the crowdflower thingy doesn't work in firefox. I'm hoping they might have a xmas extra bonus thing this year - they did last christmas and I was away so hoping they might this year as I'm here.

I don't mind the mindless-ness sometimes and I sometimes just do the bare min to keep my daily bonus. It doesn't take long and now I've found I can do the ads through my phone browser I'll do them in an odd minute (though tonight I'm doing them on the pc!).
