Sold something for peanuts by mistake

I've accidentally and without realising it, missed out a number in the price listed making the item sell for peanuts. What do I do now, do I suck it up and let it go or do I risk and cancel the transaction? :(

That will result in a defect for the seller.

I just send them off and chalk it up. I bought something for £40+ and sold it for 99p. I even delivered it to them.

I always read feedback before I buy..

If I saw this I would look at the item, see it went for peanuts and assume the seller had done this.

I then would not buy from them.

Thanks, but I don't think my conscience would allow me to do that and I don't really want a defect either.

Just be honest with the buyer and tell them the item was mis-priced.

Cancel with 'I am out of stock or cannot fulfill the order'

Mistakes happen - most people are reasonable.

I would not sell an item at a loss due to a typing error, it makes no sense on any level and I think the idea of fulfilling an item as a private seller due to a typo is pretty daft really. Many really big stores cancel all the time due to price errors - it happens.

If this is genuine and it appears to be, just cancel and re-list at the correct price.

I'm so annoyed with myself, a buyer got a real bargain of an item :(

Thanks for the advice, would that not give me a defect though?

Yes, but defects are not the be all and end all. It makes no sense to take a loss to avoid a black mark. Be driven by common sense, not some virtual smack on the bum :)

A buyer may agree to Cancel anyhow, they know as well as you do it's a pricing error.

How much are we talking here?
Meant to sell for £99 and sold for 99p?

Or meant to sell for £19.99 and sold for £19.90?
