I always try but usually manage to fail. Please do not be offended by this but please try and keep your chin up because if your boy sees how scared you are feeling then he will feel scared as well because he trusts you.

I only just realised today that I will no longer have to go to the dreaded work Christmas party which I absolutely cannot stop grinning about now.
I only realised though when one of my more !!!!!y colleagues informed me that I needn't bother asking for a refund for my tickets because it is all already booked and payed for and I should not have agreed to go if I was intending to move away anyway. Needless to say that I was completely overwhelmed by her support and her good wishes for my future career and happiness. :rotfl:

Oh don't take any notice- sounds as though you are well out of there. Can't believe its booked and PAID for- usually just lose your deposit. Hey ho you've got a lovely Scottish Christmas and Hogmanay to look forward to. XXNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I am so excited about this and I cannot wait especially because being single has never been seen as being criminal in my sister's house and she always has lots of people around including many other single waifs and strays over Christmas and New Year.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -

I will not tell her that you said that because she is much younger than they are and although she is absolutely gorgeous and very self assured she struggles at times with her self image and just does not see what everybody else does and will probably think that I am telling her that she is in need of a make over. :rotfl: But it is true that she is very similar in many ways because she always feels like she needs to look after and take responsibility for absolutely everybody that she meets and fix things out for them no matter how messed up that they might seem. It is probably why she went back to university straight after finishing her first degree and retrained as a nurse. Her explanation for being like this is that even although everything is good in her life it might not always stay that way and she might need somebody to do the same thing for her at some point in her life.

I have now started to pack my things up for the move even although it is still weeks away and I am only starting to realise just how much I have left even after all the e-baying and the car boot sale.
I am actually thinking about contacting my landlord and asking if he would like me to leave the kitchen things as well because I certainly will not be needing them any time soon.
I received a letter from Buchanan Clark and Wells this morning and it was really not very pleasant in that they are more or less demanding either immediate settlement of the oustanding amount because my monthly payments are just not enough as far as they are concerned. My brother in law offered me a solution to this a few weeks ago in which he would pay them off but that I had to pay money into a savings account every month until it had enough in it to cover what he had paid. This would be good in a way because I would not have to deal with any debt collectors again and he said that I would have the next 18 years to replace the money because it will be the car fund for their baby when it arrives so that I would not have to pay out nearly so much every month. I am not sure if I want to do this though because although I hate dealing with debt collectors this is my problem that I need to deal with and in a way although I would still have to repay the money this would seem like taking the easy way out. I am now really confused and do not know what to do.

Hiya hon, I understand your dilemma. My first thought is if they can afford it why not take them up on their offer ? Then maybe, as well as the monthly amount you repay, you could save up to make overpayments and hopefully pay it off sooner. However maybe you feel borrowing from them would make you 'beholden' to them. Do you think your bil would expect you to justify any spending that he might deem frivolous ? Oh dear debt collectors or 'owing' family ?Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

To be honest I am not completely sure what I think at all.I know that he and my sister will always help me or indeed anybody else for that matter in any way at all that they can and they would never comment on my spending ever unless I was been really stupid and spending ridiculous amounts that I can clearly not afford. But I am thinking that even although I would still absolutely be paying back everything that I borrowed it would in a way feel like I was cheating if that makes any sense at all?
I would in a lot of ways be escaping the consequences of my own stupidity far too easily. I want it all over as soon as possible but with an 18 year period in which to pay even although it comes without any pressure would feel like it is dragging on forever.
