    I am glad you phoned the union.. Maybe you should ring the debt collectors back and just let them know that you have sought legal advice over the matter and that you will be in touch once you have taken advice, it will let them know you are no pushover.

    I was actually really worried about her because I had not heard from her in so long because she usually calls every single day to check that I am still alive and sane but I only found out that she was alright when one of her husband's colleagues actually turned up and first asked me if I knew that my work was closed today and then told me that he had been "ordered" to look after me for the length of his leave. :confused:

    I am really glad that I called them as well because I might actually be able to sleep tonight now but calling the Debt Collectors is what I really need my sister around for because speaking to them more than once in a day terrifies me. :o

    Someone once told me if you want to gain some assertiveness when telephoning someone to stand up whilst you are talking to them..

    Try it tomorrow! It does work.

    Thank you for your suggestion I will definitely try that tomorrow. :D I went out for dinner with an old friend tonight who is also my nominated minder for the next two and a half weeks and have probably drank more than I should have so please excuse me if I am talking too much nonsense. ;) It was really good talking to someone that I know from home about how hard I have found it being so far away from everything and everyone I know and how bad I have been feeling about it and how homesick that I feel. I realise now that I have in a lot of ways been making things harder than they need to be for myself by expecting everything in my life to stay the same which of course they cannot. So to everybody who has been kind and supportive to me despite my endless childish whinging thank you very much. :)
