It has been a lifelong thing with her though and she even had the same approach to her wedding where she bought a basic off the peg dress from a high street range for under £100.00 and did some alterations by herself to make it exactly how she wanted it all because she could not see the logic in spending lots of money on a dress that she would only ever wear once for a few hours and not actually because she had a strict budget to stick to.

I have always been of the logic, if you can get it for cheaper and better then do so- must be the northerner in me( written in blood at birth):rotfl:
I do not know what my sister's excuse is then because like me she is definitely a southerner but then she did spend three years at university up north so maybe that is where it came from.:rotfl: I am glad that your daughter is happy and that it is all working out well for her but please forgive me for being so nosey but why was she moving to Cornwall?

She is married to a lad from the Navy, he is based in Helston near lands End.She applied for falmouth uni during A levels and was accepted. So the year went, exams, married, moved exam results. And don't worry about being nosey, I am on your thread all the time asking questions.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

It was another fabulous day at work where everything just seemed to go to plan for a change and people seem to be noticing my new clothes although none of them have actually noticed that the clothes are new but I have had lots of comments about how good I am looking and a few queries about how I have managed to lose weight and tone up so much over the space of a weekend.
I did not realise quite how bad and untidy I must have looked before now until everybody complimented me so much on my new look which is very embarassing now that I think about it.
I feel so much better about myself after today and it has definitely given my self confidence a much needed boost.

It must be spring in the air- so many good posts at the moment. I must just hide it very well. :rotfl: I am currently near to having a panic attack just now because I am due to have a meeting with my boss at 4.15 and even although I know that I did all of the training and I know how to do my job I am just really worried that she will tell me that I am rubbish at what I do and that she regrets giving the job to me.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -
We all have those wobbly moments-They wouldnt have let you through the door if they thought you were rubbish. Is it a performance reveiw? If so it is just usually target setting and courses you can attend, good day out and usually decent grub.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thank you for that it reasured me quite a bit before I went in and you were right and it all went very well too.I have also been offered some shifts at the weekend doing bar work in a hotel which is a bit of an unexpected bonus but will really help with the debt reduction plan and I have been told that if I like it then there will be plenty more work available over the coming months.
