I think your sister is probably right. That's nearly £1000 to pay off your debts. That added to the car money should be able to do a few full and finals.
Do your folks live far away from you then hun?Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

My sister is closer at a mere 150 miles away she moves about a lot because of my brother in law's work but she always visits and keeps in touch even when they are abroad.
I have caught the whole ebay bug thing and would strongly recommend tring it!Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -
I have just got to see the results of the highlights that my sister did for me this morning and I am now thinking that I must have been crazy to ever pay a salon to do the same thing. I have no idea where she learned to do it but she has promised to mine from now on so that I can save that money as well.
We are now getting ready to go to her second Birthday party of the week and I forgot that in her world a night out starts at lunchtime and I am getting worried that I will actually survive the event because I forgot just how much of a mad patying demon she is when she gets started!
If I actually live through this I promise to write up a revised and more detailed and more acurate SOA when I get home tomorrow.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -

I have looked at the SOA that I posted a week ago and have made some revisions after listening to all the good advice that has been given to me. I know that there is further room for improvement and I will work on that because I am determined to pay off all these debts and get myself the kind of life that my sister has by the time I get to her age too.

Through the week I have managed to sell my car and sell a lot of things on ebay which has given me £10,464 to pay to my creditors when it eventually clears and actually becomes my money. I know that this will only make a tiny dent in the amount outstanding but if it was not for the hangover from hell that I am currently experiencing I would really feel on top of the world with this achievement. Thank you for all the advice that I have already been given and all further suggestions are equally welcome.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -

You are sh!tting me right? Thats 26% of your debt gone in a week!
At this rate you'll be debt free by the end of the month!
But seriously that is a cracking start! It took me 12 months to pay that amount off! :T0 -

You've managed to raise £10464 in a week - that's a huge chunk of your debt
Even better as a few of your creditors will probably accept full and finals.
In addition to this, you've managed to increase your monthly income by £300
You're doing ever so well - I bet your sister is very proud of you.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Thank you I am very pleased but the only problem is that I am now left with literally nothing but myself to sell now so I am just going to have to work really hard. :rotfl:Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0
