Now go and cancel the insurance, breakdown cover etc straight away - can you tell I've got my bossy head on :D[/quote]

I have now cancelled my insurance and AA cover and although I will not see any benefit until next month it will mean that I have an extra £172.00 per month to put towards my debts. I will still have to find a reasonable explanation for not having a car anymore for my parents but I will just need to work on that. :D

It is official I have finished the trial period at the pub and got offered the job permanently. :o I got a contract to sign last night albeit one that looked like it had been run off a home computer all of five minutes before and now have a second job that pays, well not that much but it is money. :D I have the added bonus that my shifts will mostly be to cover the busy periods during the season and european games and internationals. Who needs Sky sports?

I am back to the day job on Monday so decided that the offer of a few days away might be a good plan but it turned out that I was not being given any choice in the matter. I was told last night that I had no shifts at the weekend because my boss had been told that I had a prior engagement and would not be available! Embarassing or what?

I have finally finished writing my full and final settlement offer letters to each of the smaller creditors. I have been trying to delay doing it because I am terrified still of actually communicating with these people without having my sister on hand to take over and deal with them. I am not very brave and I know it. :o

But I did it anyway and I am really proud of myself. :D Is that actually allowed when your life is in as much of a mess as mine currently is? Chances are that they will refuse my initial offer for settlement but at least it is a starting point and I am least trying.

My ebay things are all starting to finish up now as well and I seem to have done rather well at it and have made far more than expected.

Well done you for writing the letters and you should feel proud of yourself. It helps when you do things to make you feel more in control.
What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

DFD - WAS: a while ago

NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!

Of course you're allowed to be proud of yourself

I'm glad to hear your Ebay stuff is doing well - I think I must be the only person in the world who has never bought or sold anything on Ebay :D

Until this week I had not bought or sold anything on it either but I was ordered to try it and it is so good. I would strongly recommend you try it. :D All my items have finished now and I have a grand total of £964.00 profit excluding postage costs waiting to come through and that is nearly enough to pay off my A&L overdraft even if they refuse to give me a reduced settlement figure.

  • I sold absolutely everything with any connection to my ex no matter how attached to it I was because I will never move on with constant reminders around me or so my sister says anyway but I will report on the accuracy of that statement in a weeks time. ;) I also sold a lot of cd's dvd's and other things that I did not really use any more. I also sold a lot of ornamental and decorative things that were donated by my parents when I moved here but since they will never actually get around to visiting me even if I live here for 20 years so they will never actually notice that they are gone.
