Maybe if I keep saying "men are good, men are good" to myself all night then my shift will not be so bad after all and I may even convince myself. :rotfl:

I have changed my mind about my new job despite my boss constantly asking me for my sister's number it is really good. I forgot that pubs all have have sky sports and the staff are in charge of choosing the channel! :D

I also found a customer who works for a car dealership and he has promised to help me sell my car. Men are not all bad all of the time after all.

I have made yet more progress in reducing my debt mountain. :D

I got an offer for my car this morning which I know is a lot less than it is worth but I took it anyway. I was totally devastated by having to sell it and actually cried about it but anyway needs must.

This however is leaving me with another problem. Can anyone who is not already sick to death of my constant rambling can you please advise on what to actually do with the money. Once the cheque has cleared do I pay it pro-rata to my creditors or do I pay a few of them off completely or do I keep the money until my DMP is set up and then give it to CCCS to distribute?

Are all your debts 0%? If not, pay the highest interest rate first.

If they are, I would be tempted to pay off the smaller ones. I would also kep a bit back in case of emergencies.

Others would probably advise differently, but the psychological boost of paying one or two debts off completely would be great.

Unfortunately they are all with debt collection agencies now so the APR is 0% at least I think it is. I like the idea of paying a few of the smaller ones off though. Thank you for that suggestion. :D

If they are all with DCAs, you could maybe think about offereing full and final settlements.

It's not something I know anything about, but others on here have offered amounts like 60% of the debt and been accepted.

    Worth thinking about ;)

I have just searched the forum for information on offering full and final settlements to debt collectors. I think it would be a really good thing for me to do. I am desperate to call them now and ask about it but I think I better wait until the money is actually available in my account. :o
