I am just home from my first day back at the day job and I am completely shattered. Thankfully I am not working in the pub tonight because I need a rest so badly and I have no idea of how I will actually cope when I have to do both in one day.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0

yes for me as well are you a teacher?
I have just been feeling really miserable and sorry for myself all day and really need to snap out of it because I cannot stay like this forever and then I need to make a huge apology. :embarasseDebt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -
I'm a TA
What age do you teach?
You need to give yourself a break - you're doing amazingly well.
Good days and bad days are all part of a DFW life I think. We've had £4 in the bank for about a week, pay day Friday so things will improve then in the spud house. Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I much prefer the babies and have the reception class this year.
It just seems so hard when everybody around me is always doing lots of things and going loads of places and having brilliant lives and I am just sat watching them trapped in my non-existant life trying to work out if I can actually afford the fare to and from the city centre. I am struggling really badly with it just now and just want to run away from it all and I was unforgiveably horrible to my sister at the weekend when all she has ever done is help me.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -
Reception class for me too this year - at least I know where to come if I need any tips
Send your sister a text, or email. I'm sure she'll understand if you explain how crappy you're feeling.
It is hard when you're that strapped for cash. If you've not got any emergency money, you should keep a bit of your car and Ebay money back in a savings account.
Dont forget you've got the money from your pub job, that will help out for little extras here and there. I wouldnt put every penny of it into your DMP.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I know she will understand and be nice about it because she always is no matter what and I think that is actually what my problem is because it only ever makes me feel like even more of an inadequate failure.
I was thinking about keeping some of the pub money back and giving myself a sort of small allowance but then that in a way defeats the whole purpose of having the extra job in the first place?Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -

Not at all.
You already had a good payment to send to CCCS for your DMP.
If it were me, I dont think I would include ANY of your salary from your pub job to begin with. You dont know if you will be able to manage it along side your day job yet, it's still early days. Give it a few months, maybe till next half term, and see how it goes.
If you decide you will stick with the extra job, by all means increase your CCCS payment, but I would definitely keep a bit for yourself.
Dont forget only include regular income in your DMP. Dont include any overtime, or extra nights you may get in the pub. I have just had my CCCS review, and I mentioned that I sometimes get overtime. They wouldnt include it in my budget, and even suggested I save it towards a holidayIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

That sounds really good.
I thought I would have to include everything that I earn because the debt collectors keep asking for details of my entire income down to the last penny. I still have not received my pack through the post from CCCS is it normal to take so long?

I think it took a week or 2 for my pack to arrive. When did you speak to them?
No, you dont have to include everything. Send in your day job payslips, I seem to remember having to send mine when I set my DMP up, but if any of it is overtime, you need to let them know.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
