Scratched - I completely understand about the student loan, I will be so happy to see the end of that. Just over a year to go for me..

I've not got a number yet but I have submitted my total for this month, £1,010.16.

I've decided tonight's vet visit can come out of tomorrow's pay day!

I went to the local library yesterday to reserve two books as I am slashing my books budget this year to nil to help with savings goal, going to try to stick to the library, already really looking forward to it :)

I did that a couple of years back, rather than buying hardbacks that I'd only read once. It saved me a bomb and made some space on my bookshelves!

I also cut back on memberships of N.T., Arts Fund, a couple of local museums etc that I really wasn't visiting much which saved me over £200pa. I know one should pay just to support them, rather than doing it on a "am I getting value for money?" basis :o , but needs must! :D

This keeps happening to me as my S&S ISA keeps going down and down! :(

I adjust it in the following month and submit an amount less than what I actually saved that month to balance.
I don't use the value of my s and s isa otherwise I would have the same problem as the only way it is going at the moment is down :(. When I add up the income and expenditure I calculate the difference as my savings (obviously assuming income is more than expenditure) and ignore the value of the s and s isa.

#002 declaring £1254. 52. I'm really surprised by this amount because I went over my budget and had car repairs....keep thinking I must have calculated it wrong. Very encouraging start though, it's making me want to push for 12k target but I will stick with my original target for now since I'll be unemployed from October.
