Hi all, reporting £410 saved for the month of September. Have booked onto lots of upcoming things, hen dos, xmas nights, weekends away, so the extra money that would have been saved is going into all of those pots!#27 - Save 12K in 20189£/£ :T0

HTB ISA - £200
Sharesave plan - £223
Submitted to the google s/s.
That update takes me to: £8,002.38/£12,000.00 (67%)
I've just been doing my monthly portfolio 'snapshot' and noticed I could stick some money into the RS, so an additional £142.58 saved this month!
Which takes my September total to: £565.58

Yes, SS, you post your total on here, and send the form to SF so she can update the spreadsheet, as the thread moves so quickly this allows SF to keep the figures correct and not getting missed out, if the posts move quickly, it could be missed.

Hi all! I've updated the form for the rest of the year for me, because I know what it will look like:
400pm in Oct, Nov, Dec getting me to a total for the save £8k thread: 4800.
Not exactly where I wanted to be, but alas: I've also saved an additional 3600 in a save for shares scheme at work separately. So, both together put me at £8400 for the year!
Not too shabby for someone who only saves what's left over at the end of the month (i.e. I don't live frugally, and I do go on plenty of vacations - that's not going to change anytime soon).
I'm hoping to have additional savings of 30k by the time I hit 30 - and a plan is in place for that (it will mean saving 15k each year in the next two years.#115 - Save £12k in 2019 challenge: £13152.85/29419.55 - 44%

Thank you.
Well in that case, my total for September (along with clearing my CC!!) is £375.00. I'll fill the form in just now. :beer:0 -

Is this what you have saved this year in the share scheme or what you are saving?
I have forgotten about mine as mine shares scheme is a three year one and dont see the money till maturity. I do also have a share matching scheme with work, which is £30 a month, but I cant sell the shares till 3 years, or 5 years after they were bought.
Not sure if I should include the £30 a month share deposit I have saved this year, through my payroll, It comes out before I get paid,
so forgotten about it really

Hi Westie! Not sure how yours works, but ours comes directly out of the payroll (I save 300pm into it) - at the end of the savings period (3,5,7 years) you can choose to take the cash, buy shares and hold them, or buy shares and immediately sell them for a profit (if at loss you'd just get the cash back). The only drawback is that you don't get any interest on your savings. The total for the year for me will be 3600 - but I didnt count that towards the challenge hehe - I guess it's up to you if you wanted to!#115 - Save £12k in 2019 challenge: £13152.85/29419.55 - 44%

Mine works in exactly the same way apart from we only have a 3 year option, I dont include it in this challenge as I cashed in my 2016 one as the option price was at the higher figure and the new 2017 one was at a lower option price so I cashed in so I could put more in 2017 one, and it had only been going for 8 months out of 3 years.
Not due to start again till January so Ill give it some thought if I include it, as I suppose its still savings, coming out pre tax from wages.
