Hi all, I have been absent from the board for a few months. I have not been good while I was away - in fact my money spending habits probably deterred me from posting. But now I am back to get into better financial shape again!
So I need to reset my savings, as my year-to-date total is now lower. I have also sat down and analysed my spending in my "lost months" and can see exactly what the cause was, so I should be able to get back on track. Unlikely to make my target, but hopefully will be healthier by the year end, plus I have received a small pay increase so will allocate more to saving.0 -
Huge well done everyone. Let's keep on saving!!!0

Been busy busy busy, moved houses, attended funerals, and then weddings. So I missed out doing accounts for past few months. But now I can claim a net balance of +2196.55 for the past few months that flew by. Poor saving standards by my standards. But anything positive is a positive.

Well, i think that is me done for the year. Im calling it an end at 10k which i am ecstatic about :T. Before i joined this thread for 2016, i was a yearly member of MFW section and made regular mortgage overpayments. We had our review recently and realised just how much better off its made us by doing them OP's in the past, SO, we have sent a lump sum of £7,000
I would never of sent that size OP, and still have 3k left over if it wasn't for this forum. We are on track to be MF in 5 years which will make me 33 years old.
SF, i will keep a beady eye out for your 2017 'save 12k thread' so i can quickly sign up again
Thanks for all your help xxx"Don't underestimate the value of financial security"
