Avro looking very uncompetitive currently, not even coming up on page 1 of comparison sites now!!
It's effectively third on Citizens Advice for dual fuel because London Power won't supply my postcode.  But Avro are not listed at all on the CEC, which is well and truly broken: I can't even enter either of my existing tariffs.

Looking OK if you`re already with them.
My cheapest tariff on CA would cost an extra £55-80 a year with someone called Green.- chestnut.
My Avro contarct doesn`t end `til next May.
  • Yes your right and luckily I am with Avro (simple and superfixed ends Feb 21) on a pretty decent tariff but unless they pull their fingers out with a decent offer I'm off and looking like seperate suppliers will be the best option, like a few of the more smarter people on here have advised me recently.

I'm on their Simple and SuperFixed until April. So much is up in the air at the moment with covid and brexit, I'm not even looking yet for any follow-up tariff.

Yeah, simple and superfixed works for me until the fourth week of June.  I'll look at it when and (increasingly unlikely) if anything better comes along or, heaven forbid, they go bust.

Hi. Has anyone had issues with getting a refund from AVRO?

We told them we were leaving our last residence and provided final meter readings etc.
Our account showed we were in credit to the tune of approx £200+ and it still shows that when I log in.
We tried emailing their customer support and they just sent some generic 'we will be in touch' type reply but it's been 3 weeks since we left and we still haven't heard anything back. Calling them seems to involve being on hold forever also.
I'd just like to know if it is the case we are in credit and owed anything when we might receive it.

I believe the industry regulations allow them 6 weeks to produce your final bill plus a further 10 days by when they have to pay your refund (or pay compensation for not doing so).  So, about 8 weeks in all.

Just had had a phone call from 'Lowri Beck'  asking me for my electric meter reading.
Lowri Beck are also the people installing smart meters for Avro.
Seemed a bit odd as I input the meter readings every month on Avro's site anyway.

Lowri Beck are supposed to visit and read the meters but, in my experience, just phone up and ask you give the readings to them on the phone. The last time they telephoned they wanted to ask me some security questions but I refused to answer them - they could have been anybody.
