CEC doesn`t get a cut from Avro so maybe they`re reluctant to show it.

An update to my earlier post. Called up Avro today with our opening reads and the guy we spoke with Ryan sounded so laid back and uninterested we had to wake him up with our concerns re being unable to post our opening reads online due to an ongoing error online and also could we, according to CEC, save £1 per month by switching to the latest Simple SuperFixed tariff as opposed to the Simple SuperFlow we signed up to. Avro said according to the (accurate) annual kWh data we submitted to them, it wouldn't have made a difference DD wise, so we stuck with what we signed up for. Go figure.
Incidentally and for example recently, another CEC family member has had a similar discrepancy with Green.Energy with CEC saying they should be paying £40 per month but Green.Energy put their dd up to £41 with regular readings. But that's another story for another thread.
Apart from all that, after this afternoon's phone call, we are now able to submit meter readings online via Avro. Co-incidence maybe. The reads we submitted over the phone earlier were not showing online, so we submitted them again and they showed instantly.
As I said earlier, first impressions matter and we are not impressed by Avro thus far! At least we can switch penalty free if they mess us about any further going forward.
The best hassle-free, efficient energy company we have dealt with over the past eight years has been Tonik.

Like everything else, don`t rely on one site to give you the best switch.
As well as MSE cheap energy club, I use energyhelpline and uswitch to also check deals.
They all have different vested interests because for every switch they get about £60 BUT only from the suppliers that are signed up to them.
The likes of Avro don`t pay these switching sites.

The excuse I get from CEC is that they rely on suppliers to provide it with tariff updates. On the other hand, suppliers are required to keep Citizens Advice updated as part of the Confidence Code.

They only got an intro fee from the MSE Collective switch, which in some cases Avro were reluctant to pay and when I asked them about this they claimed they never paid an into fee to any comparison site. This led to MSE honouring the £25 cashback themselves then AVRO finally paid up and those affected got another £25.
I switched away from the MSE Collective tariff last night and went to update my info on my CEC. The current Simple & SuperFixed tariff is listed there so MSE/CEC do know about it.
I'm wondering if Avro have refused to let CEC list the new tariff some reason, possibly linked to the MSE Collective tariff coming to an end?
[EDIT] Got an email from Avro asking me leave a review on Trustpilot if I was happy with their service and bribing me with "the chance of winning £500.00".

Some users reported earlier in this thread that the new Simple and SuperFixed tariff was showing for them in their CEC comparison so another possibility is that an error was made by Avro limiting the areas of the country where this tariff is available when they updated the tariff details on CEC?

That's something I'd not thought of and I'd missed that some were able to see it on CEC.
[EDIT] Looks like that's it. On MoneySupermarket, MSE's owners and clearly using the same comparison engine, Avro doesn't appear using my GU4 postcode but does with my parents' old KT8 one.

I don't see AVRO in my Cheap Energy Club comparisons any more.  I'm on Avro at the moment - but I would have thought that it would still show up.  A friend of mine is on Bulb - that doesn't show up in CEC either.

Avro is not in my CEC.
There is a box you can tick on the left that says Tariff  from My Current Supplier.
Then when it refreshes it says,
We were unable to find any tariffs of this type. You can amend your filters to reveal more tariffs.

Try the MoneySupermarket comparison site, which uses the same engine as CEC/MSE but means you don't have to alter your CEC data, put in an another address with a completely different postcode and see if Avro are listed. They aren't for my GU4 address but are using my parents' old KT8 one.
