You are the victim of a scam, but do not be a victim, fight back, cost them money.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Just think what exactly are you worrying about, you have committed no crime, you have not received a fine, the employee of this scam company is in no way an official, he is not a warden, he is a poorly paid Muppet that is after his Christmas bonus out of your pocket.

You cannot get a criminal record, you won't get put in the stocks, hanging has been abolished, and they won't confiscate your Samsung 52".

If the Landowner wants the driver imprisoned on site with his car, then his agent has a duty to stop you from leaving and inform you of the rules, not have his silly company give you an invoice after the event for some made up rule.

You are re-acting in just the manner they want to encourage, they are just bullies picking on you because they can and they are greedy!

Of course it's your choice, don't spoil your Christmas, but most of the regulars on here started in just your mindset (I did) but followed the advice, saw it through, and boy is it satisfying!

Just remove the name UKCPS from your mind and replace it with the name of the retailer that you visited. Would you really pay them £60.00 for walking across the road ?
There is no such 'offence' in the British legal system as 'leaving the site', these are made up fantasies of the Private parking scumpanies ! What they have to rely on is breaches of contract/trespass etc. The PCN could have been a plain letter, but what they sent you will try and mimic 'real' Police/Council tickets in an attempt to give them more credibility and to scare you into paying. As one poster recently mentioned on this forum, they could change the rules to say that only yellow cars can be parked in a certain row. Would you pay £60 if your car was blue ?

Stop worrying and prove to these *&%$ that you are not a pushover !

how many of the forum regulars do you think you should give in ;)

every one will help you ........... please do not do anything hasty ....

there are even a few parking guru's up and down the country who sometimes act as advocate when case do get to small claims court ........ have a look at this ...........

you need to take your time and think through things.......

now this is an order !!!

    enjoy xmas

if I so much as think you are failing to follow this my parking company (only started it 5 mins ago) will pass on your details to my debt company (I will create it after I finish)

and will send a claim to you

they have lots of big fonts in red

I think £80 should be enough for a few pints and a good cury:rotfl:

I feel that I would have more chance of winning this in court than the PPC has with you :)

please listen to all the advice

    have a merry xmas
    and
    good luck

Complain to the landowner or retail park Store Managers.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

you really need to speak to the managers ... not the young person on the end of the phone .......

the managers will be able to tell you who the land owner is if they will not help...

why not leave a nice message on the appropriate face ache page ? ;)

    merry xmas

    and

    good luck

where is this car park? if you can give a location then you may get help in finding who the owner /management company is and from there who to contact to get the thing canceled. and who to complain to as well

or as a last resort you can pay the Land Registry and find out the landowner details, although its possible you will need the managing agents details, or both
