If you seriously expect to gain a mortgage plus council tax and utilities for less than £200 a month you need to wake up. It's your choice to live there. So either suck it up, or ship out.
Even if she does need to go into a care home, she may be perfectly capable of choosing the home herself.
And if she has a reasonable income - and a house that can be sold to pay care home fees - I don't think dopke139 will get the last laught at all.
