Ionafan thats good news. Hugs to little Dizzy and MMM, hope you are feeling better.
The plasterer is working in the bathroom. All the stuff out of the bathroom is in our bedroom so no chance of doing much in there. The rest of the house is reasonably OK so I have taken the dog for a long walk and sorted some washing.
Have also fired off some e-mails about DS and made an appointment with our GP to try and find out what is happening with his autism assessment. Fed up with it all at the moment but we just have to do what we can.0 -
Yorkshirelass I find long dog walks to be very therapeutic. Sounds like you have a lot going on; hope you get DS's assessment sorted soon x
Have failed to do today's jobs as took the dogs to the park with the ball thrower as well as went to the allotment; as I said earlier our room is looking OK as did it yesterday. Spoke to DH earlier and he told me he almost resigned yesterday which is NOT good as he only started the job in August :eek:Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Howdy all,
Just back from our day out, what a lovely bright day although the breeze was chilly. I've no idea what's for dinner, why can't we have our own personal chef? I fancy a Caesar salad but have none of the ingredients:rotfl:
I've just put a wash on and DS wants me to do something then I'll go hunt for tea. When they are in bed I'm going in the loft to see what we have for crimble. I'm going to write some lists tonight and get as much done as i can tomorrow (oh and it's the announcement at 9.30) so friday can be designated cleaning day...
Kitchen floor not pretty!Bossymoo

Have read, but not taken in much apart from Whiz Whippet needs some healing vibes for his paw.... vibes on their way.Donkey messed on the stage in act 3 - glad I wasn't the one cleaning that up.LW funny about the TV - I don't blame you at all for not contributing. Does DH enjoy the Wii Fit? I am trying to go on it twice a week when no-one's around to see me huffing and puffing in the lounge!
Tha Saga of the Telly continues; we got the old, heavy CRT out, and realised we were going to have problems connecting everything to the new tv. We need to connect:- Sky box (was on a SCART cable)
- DVD player (SCART cable)
- Wii (SCART cable)
- PS2 (SCART cable)
- VHS player (old-style aerial cable which won't plug into new tv)
Anyways, Mr LW found a 4-to-1 SCART adaptor on Ah Gosh, so he's getting that, which will enable us to plug in 4 SCARTs. I have, very grudgingly, contributed a £5 Love-to-shop voucher I got for doing online surveys.:D
I also found, lurking in the electricals drawer, an HDMI cable, which I have used to connect the Sky box (it wasn't used before because there was no HDMI socket on the old tv) This frees up a SCART cable, which I have re-deployed on the VHS player, meaning I can retire the old-style aerial cable.
So once he's been to Ah Gosh and collected the 4-way adaptor, we can, theoretically, get everything connected. Watch this space.....
In the meantime, I have undergone far more contortions than HHWiiFit could ever have given me, just to locate the wires, change them over, and get everything back into place. At the moment, the SCART plugs that are not currently connected are tied to the knob on the front of the tv cupboard with string, just so that they won't fall down the back and I have to go retrieve them again! If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I went in the front room at lunch time to sort some toys... I've now stripped and painted 1 wall... I never learn!!! another 'half job' no doubt!!

We both use the WiiFit; we got it in January 2010, as we were both far too heavy and very unfit, and neither of us had the slightest interest in joining a gym or going to classes. (I for one can do without the derision I'd get as a "disabled person"). Long story short, he lost 1.5 stone, and I lost 2.5 stone; we keep on with it for "maintenance" iyswim.:o
Thanks for that as he seems much better now - to the extent I took him to the park with Pip my JRT and they both had a lovely run around after the tennis ball! We recently started Agility which he loves so will be going tomorrow.
You've both done so well on the Wii Fit - congratulations! I cut out sugar a few months ago and that in conjunction with the Wii Fit has meant I've lost probably half a stone or so.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Oh you make me laugh! And it put me in mind of the festive joke that runs long the lines of:-
If the three wise men had been three wise women they would have arrived on time, helped with the birth, tidied the stable, cooked a meal and brought sensible presents!
Hope no one is offended..:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
