  • Not much extra flying from the official list so far this week, but have managed basics plus a bit of extra hoovering. Also, have almost finished DH's Tax Return :j Have never done one before, and almost had a heart attack when it said we owed £10,000 more than we were expecting, but fortunately had put a wrong number in somewhere :o

6 mice caught so far, poor blighters. Still a way to go, but feeling a bit better about the situation!

    Welcome back Mumof2

LW, I don't expect to contribute to my DH's choice of high-powered PC because I don't do games, so why should you be expected to contribute if you don't share your DH's passion for television?

Well done on both the tax return and the mice, robberbutton.

Hope you enjoyed your book club outing, CY.

I decluttered a horse piddle appointment [STRIKE]this[/STRIKE] yesterday morning and am delighted that the orthoptist has discharged me - my eyes are finally settling down after the big black eye that I sustained in that silly fall back in February :T
We then went to SW and I had managed not to gain anything, even though I had to sample the Christmas pudding mix this weekend :rotfl:

I spent most of the rest of the day filling in a long and complicated application form which will probably get pulled to pieces at a meeting on Friday afternoon! I also made mushroom soup for lunch and SC casserole for our evening meal. And I've done a bit more Christmas shopping in person and on the computer. So not a bad day overall.

Must get some sleep now! I'm running the last session of my course this afternoon and also have to prepare for the one I'm attending in the evening. Lunch and tea will be leftovers or quick-and-easy-tuna-pasta.

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x

Morning all. A little tired this morning as the paid stuff started at 6.45 yesterday and I went out with DH to see an opera last night. Donkey messed on the stage in act 3 - glad I wasn't the one cleaning that up. We couldn't stay right to the end as DH mentioned when we got there that he had to be up at 3.30 this morning.

So LW, I understand your frustration with DHs at the moment, mine had months to sort his shifts for this night out.

Anyway, I going to do the HSL jobs from Monday and Wednesday's list this morning.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Thanks for the welcomes back!!

Drs at 9.00 and need to do a bit of shopping plus pick up some dry cleaning for DH. Flying wise I gave our bedroom a good going over yesterday including the floor but can still do more there, go through drawers and have gone for cleaning windows as I don't quite remember the last time they were done .... shameful isn't it! Want to get to the allotment and do some more digging for exercise - can't walk Whiz Whippet as he's got a poorly pad on his paw and is being not very stoic at all.

LW funny about the TV - I don't blame you at all for not contributing. Does DH enjoy the Wii Fit? I am trying to go on it twice a week when no-one's around to see me huffing and puffing in the lounge!

Robberbutton no wonder you felt panicked when you saw you owed £10,000 - glad you found what you'd put in incorrectly!

    Catch you later

    Morning all.

Flying here is not really happening. I'm feeling grotty as well, my get up and go and got up and gone :rotfl:

I spent Monday printing things out for the window and pottering when I needed a break. Haven't started painting yet as its been too dark outside with all the rain to see what I'm doing. I have noticed that more and more people have their decorations up already! I can understand getting outside stuff up ASAP but decorating the window with lights etc and switching them on of an evening in November...I don't get it.

Yesterday I spent the day sorting email. I had over 600 email to sort, today I still have about 200 to sort through. Realised when I got to bed at midnight that I still haven't paid the bills I was meant to on Monday so that's the next thing on my list. I did manage to get through the majority of the laundry at the same time, but now I need to iron it especially as DD needs blouses and her PE kit for tomorrow. There's not much of it so it shouldn't take long. However thats what I said last time and it ended up taking me 3 hours :o

Off to make another coffee while the laptop reboots then I'm going to get these bills paid. :o

Flying in the hotel room will be [STRIKE]minimal [/STRIKE]non-existent!!

  • I had planned to have a lie in this morning. But a phone call at 8am confirmed that the delivery of lino for the kitchen was coming just after 9 am. It was due on Friday!

So the plan for today is to sort a couple of emails this morning and do some ironing this afternoon. But I also have to pick up a prescription and get it to.the chemists - it will take them 24 hours to get the medication in. My stomach is so bruised from the injections I can't wait for them to finish.

DD2 and her OH are so excited about their house. I can't wait to see it...
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
