Both £10k cheaper than yours.
Yes, I understand your point but both those are on the main road right through the busy village, mine is down a quiet lane.
Debt_Free_Chick: Thank you for all your useful suggestions.
Overall, it looks like I am stuck here!!!!!!!!
Just a thought.............although I've heard a garage puts value on a house, in my case what about knocking it down to have a long driveway instead? (I know it sounds illogical to 'de-value' the house, but if I can't sell it due to the parking issue??????? Your thoughts?????)
Many thanks folks0 -
A decent wage would be 25K.:(0

Do you need to sell?
If so your only real option is to lower the price.0 -
This wouldn't be a first time buyer though. It would be for somebody upsizing, downsizing or moving sideways (relocation).
A couple, both earning £25k (say two council employees), with a deposit of £40k (equity from their first house) could raise a mortgage on this easily enough. £190k-40k would be a mortgage of £150k.0 -

Which equates to roughly a thousand pounds per month in repayments. Still quite a sizeable mortgage I'd say.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

It's all relative.Turnbull2000 wrote: »Which equates to roughly a thousand pounds per month in repayments. Still quite a sizeable mortgage I'd say.
And those were sample figures.
A couple might have £80k equity, they might be earning £30-35k each.
Their takehome would be £3000/month even on the figures I threw around
What is relevant is the %age of take home that is mortgage. And on my "throw some figures about" example it is just 30%.0 -

When I look at the picture I see:
- right on the road
- flat roof extension, which isn't attractive.
Hope this helps.
Exactly my thoughts!April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -
If the photos and tour were done a year ago they perhaps need updating. This would give you the opportunity to have photos on the front page of the bedrooms, upstairs hall to show the spiral staircase access etc.
It's possible that anyone who has been househunting for a while could look at yours on rightmove, remember the current photos, and think 'hmm, still not sold, must be something funny about it'..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
As it's a family home, is it in a good area for primary and secondary schools?0
