The flat proceeds have just cleared into my bank account and the mortgage is no more

I've paid off all the credit card debt and there's a cheque ready to post to my Mum tomorrow. I have to wait for the completion statement to come through before I can post a cheque to my ex's solicitors, because they'll want copies of all the paperwork, so I'm enjoying my very healthy bank balance for a few days
Now to get to work on the new mortgage....

Hurrrah!
We are all really pleased for you! :j
May I suggest a little retail therapy in the camera shop? A. you deserve it after the last few months and B. If you put your mind to it as strongly as you have with your mortgage, you will have sold enough pics to pay for your new kit in double quick time!
I'm going to have to pay tax on my photo business this year - can't believe how much it has taken off. Mind you, it is going to really hurt paying that tax... :rotfl:"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0 -

I've decided to go for the 50D and, as a real treat, Canon's 100-400 L lens with a 2X converter(I keep telling myself that the amount I'm saving by not buying a 5D MkII pays for the lens and converter - FFordes has got both in E++ second hand condition for under £1000 the pair!)
Congrats on the turnover - next stop VAT!
