I did some ebaying last night and made around £30 to put towards one of mine- also went through my house and collected all the euro notes left over from holidays etc. Does anyone know the best place to change euros back into £s if you haven't got an original receipt?

Also talked to OH and we're going to cancel our planned weekend away. We totted it up and it would've come to nearly £300. We had been planning it for a while as it was planned around a footie fixture, but I think we'll watch the match in our local and sell our tickets. I'm gutted but it will free up at least £100 to go onto the challenge and it'll stop me getting any further into debt to do it.

I read on here about moving the odd pounds and pence over via online banking- just done that now. Only £6.20 but still better than nothing!

Got my first lot of Quidco cash tracked too- but never done it before so don't know how long it usually takes to pay out?

  • Just paid off another 26.00. Not going to be able to pay off as much as I'd hoped this month thanks to an unexpected bill for 160.00 and OH's speeding fine! Oh well, best start ransacking the house for things to ebay!

I'll be looking to clear my electricity arrears of £400, gas arrears of £150 and council tax arrears of £300.

This is all riding on my taking a step into self employment, so it'll be wobbly for sure!

    HI all,

I've decided to clear the overdraft instead of the elec/gas bills as my cash flow is very poor at the mo and I'm getting towards getting charged.

Today I have £719.91 in the bank which includes £500 overdraft so I know really I only have £219.91. Between now and when dh gets paid £929.40 will go out including my mortgage!!! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh desperate. I have transfered £70 back onto my card from matched betting and will transfer some more back after a bet today finishes, I also have a few small items on Ebay.

I haven't anything for food and fuel but my dh is away this week so I've already blagged dinners at mums tomorrow and will do store cupboard meals for the week.

I'm putting up a sign in my window (lots of passer's by) to sell snooker table but I haven't got anything else to throw at the od. I can't get an extension to od, any ideas of what else I can do to raise some cash?
  • Well I have had a slow start. Transferred £4.21 to my DP card yesterday by the transferring odd pounds and pence online. I have £28 and £8 to come in from 2 gig tickets that people owe me aswell so that will go straight to it, but I don't know when I will get it through.
However, I had to trasnfer some money out of my savings into my current account yesterday because I messed up my calculation a bit, oops!
Oh well, another paypay on friday so I can try to sort it then.
    xxx
