Yep, unlocked phones work on any network (assuming they have the technology, e.g. 3 uses a different type of connection so won't work).

The lifestyle rewards is an online offer, but if you phone and say the website isnt working for you (which is frequently the truth) then you are transfered to the internet team who process your order over the fone.
however, the internet team finish at 9pm. If you fone after this time your call is dealt with by the regular sales team (be it skeleton night staff).

Now if you purchase a fone via the regular website (not lifestyle rewards) and you already have a virgin mobile sim card registered in your name then you get £10 off the price of any handset if you dont take the new sim card.

This £10 off cannot be used with lifestyle rewards and the internet team are well aware of this, however the sales team after 9pm are not it would seem, resulting in the following deal i got (I have the invoice here to proove it )

2 x Nokia 1100
2 x £20 Voucher

Total price £33.98

Thats less than £17 for a brand new Nokia 1100 with a £20 voucher. (that incidentally sells on ebay for around £18) LOL

But wait theres more... when my fones arrived the next day via courier, I opened the boxes and lo and behold, there were 2 x virgin sim packs in there too!

A good days shopping if i may say so myself

Just pulling your leg (hence the sarcastic smiley!) - no offence intended - perhaps too early in the morning for jokes?

The only problem I can see with this (phoning to avoid paying for Joining Pack) would be if Virgin was to pick up on it, because their staff may get into trouble - or worse still if too many people try it they may decide to review/shelve the whole deal! - This would be a real shame seeing as there are currently nearly 4 months left on this offer.

Plus if you have already had your 2 orders allowable under this offer you are more likely to get away with an online order than a phone one where they can check previous orders made whilst you are still on the phone.

fact is that i've only placed one order previously for 3200 and i have 2 spare virgin sims , (from previous free sims offer), so thought i might as well try to save a tenner, instead of stacking up on sims.

I just ordered one of these 1100s over the phone last night.

I quoted 'lifestylerewards' and the girl asked who I worked for.

I mumbled in my thickest Scottish accent I could do and she asked, 'was that such and such a place?' - I couldn't make out what she said either!!!!

So I just agreed with her.

Seems that they ask who you work for to see of you are eligible for this cheap offer.

Anyway, my mumbling got me past this hurdle and I ordered the phone

Waiting for it to be delivered today.
