If you find another deal just factor in the cancellation fee. If I found a new deal which would save me, say, £100 a year I'd have no problem switching and I'd be saving £70.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. JUST SWITCHED
Hi there, just switched over to PFP from SSE, switch was very straightforward,
had a welcome letter back from the company stating when my
switch over takes place and also asking which day of the month the d.debit would
like to be taken out on, took an 18month fixed tariff, in view of N-powers 9% rise (rip-off merchants)
will keep in touch over switch.0 -
I couldn't see this in the literature but started switch yesterday and they want to take 1st payment on 1st March. I chose this one above cheaper ones because I can't afford to fund paying 2 suppliers for a month. so very disappointed that there isn't mention of this in the blurb, it is there for Iresa and So Energy.0

Don't know if this is widely known but you can get cashback if you switch using Quidco's compare service (£20 for single/ £40 dual).0

I switched to PfP for my gas around 6 months ago and it all went smoothly. The meter reading reminder emails are a bit of a pain, there is a 3 day window around the due date and you have to read it quite carefully to understand what it means. It should be written more clearly. Entering the meter readings is otherwise straightforward and the bill appears several days later.
Last month, I also switched my electricity and have ended up with a second account/customer number. I sent them a mail asking for this to be combined into a single account but they have provided me with a drop down selection box to sign into each of the accounts, which is a bit clumsy. Email turnaround time is several days, so it makes for a protracted conversation on the subject.
Nevertheless, it is cheaper on comparison sites and the website is quite attractive and easy to navigate.
My overall verdict: ok but could do with some improvements over time.0 -
I have been with them for a few months now. Emails answered in a timely fashion. Supplied my meter readings in the 3 day window and bill produced a few days later. Everything correct. Website basic but does the job.
Also supply was live on the 21st January and dd taken on the 1 February.0 -

Maybe you should query that - I signed up yesterday and was given 2nd March as the contract start date and 1st April for the first Direct Debit payment.0 -
I switched electricity to PfP from Npower after joining the MSE energy club and doing the comparison. PfP 'Fair, Simple, Clear' variable tariff was the best dual-rate (Economy7) that didn't need a fixed-term commitment:
Standing charge 22.48 p per day
Day rate 12.00 p per unit
Night rate 6.10 p per unit
The switch was well handled especially since I somehow selected the wrong tariff and emailed them to ask to change it. Email communications have been good throughout. I didn't get my £15 cashback but think that was at the MSE club end since the club site forgot who I was, despite still sending me emails..
Account began on 1st October. The rate increased on 1st December to
Standing charge 26.57 p per day (+4.09 p)
Day rate 14.46 p per unit (+2.46 p)
Night rate 7.11 p per unit (+1.01 p)
Well that's variable rates for you. Not sure how it compares with my previous Npower charges.
One thing you don't get with PfP is the slick graphics showing past usage and comparisons with other households, etc. though you could of course just spreadsheet it if so minded. I'm happy with PfP's website even if it is a little clunky at times.0 -
Just completed my dual fuel switch to PfP from SSE after the end of a fixed 1 year deal. I'd built in around 3 weeks for a new supplier to take over before SSE stuck me on their considerably more expensive variable Standard tariff.
At this stage I couldn't be more satisfied with PfP. The initial online switch to my new 1 year fixed deal was easy (Together - Feb 2018 - fixed 44 Online)
I got a small Welcome Pack with tariff and D/D confirmations and general info after a couple of days, followed by 3 subsequent and timely emails (it's an online account deal). The emails were clear, no fuss affairs, and guided me to make an online account, provide my final/change-over meter readings (online) and to advise that they had taken over the account from SSE - the latter at the precise moment that my previous SSE deal finished (despite me never having told them what that date was!). I find their website simple and clear (despite other's criticisms) and the provision of meter readings worked fine and was a doddle...
Fingers crossed that it all keeps on working like this for at least the next year - if not.... I'll be back.....0 -
I have been with PFP energy, for my home supply, for more than a year now and I have to say that I found them quite straight forward, honest , easy to communicate with and very reasonable regarding their prices. I am now considering joining them for business supply. I recommend them.0
