Must say, I have my gas with so energy (second time using the,) and they’ve been excellent. They’re reading my smart meter monthly and giving accurate bills. I haven’t had the need to deal with customer services though as it’s all working swimmingly.
mimd you, at the prices quoted above I don’t see them getting any more business ever….now very uncompetitive.0 -
After a nightmare 4 months of trying to get my meter fixed and them installing a smart meter that I didn't want, I have finally switched suppliers. They then took the following two months direct debit after I left! When I cancelled it with my bank, they had the cheek to email me and ask me to set it up again! So they could take more money presumably. I have a lot of credit with them and 2 months after leaving they still have not refunded it, despite saying they would do so by 2 September. They also, despite all the emails, phone calls and complaints that will be on my account, kept calling to try and get me to renew with them! Are they mad?
Avoid them like the plague (or virus). Complete ineffectual cowboys. This is now going to the Ombudsman.0 -
I stayed with So for a third year. Not the cheapest but I wanted to be with a Warm Home supplier. Rather concerned that despite being told that I could apply for the discount in September (MSE) then October (SO) they now say November. Is this a sign that all is not well?0

Thanks for sharing your experience! We have started to contact our customers who are part of the core group for Warm Home Discount and will be announcing the process for wider group customers to apply for warm home discount very soon.
If you have any questions on the process of applying for the discount once this is live please do give us a call.

Cannot get the link on my account to connect me to the application page for Warm Home Discount, broader group. Been trying since 3pm, the day it was meant to open. Nothing on website to say you are in a queue, no signs it's trying to load, poor show. Getting worried. Please So Energy, give us a clue! My cuz in Devon with edf applied months aho and has already got her credits for her prepayment meter. Why so tardy?0

Just had SO energy at my door offering a 2 year fix, will this fix literally stay the same for 2 years and not increase in April and October? The price he quoted is a saving of £30 per month than my current supplier, sounds go good to be true?0

I've fixed mine with them for 2 years and am paying only £27 more per month. I'd say you're onto a winner due to being a new customer ☺️librarylottie0
