    Hey Noddy78,

    Thanks for considering So Energy.

There are a number of places you can get information regarding our service and price. First of all have a look at what 1,400+ of our customers have had to say on TrustPilot: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/so.energy

Secondly, see why Citizens Advice have rated us No1 for Customer Service every quarter ever since they launched their new ratings in 2017: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/about-us/how-citizens-advice-works/citizens-advice-consumer-work/supplier-performance/energy-supplier-performance/compare-domestic-energy-suppliers-customer-service/

Finally feel free to call our customer service team with any questions you may have!

    Thanks

I've been with them since March
They also came out at cheapest fixed rate for me
I've had no problems and always submit my reading monthly without any web site troubles either

Works for me, but so did Iresa so what do I know:D

I cannot fault So Energy, they are excellent. Some of the trustpilot reviews mentioned above are from me. Although in my case not quite the cheapest, I am in my third annual contract with them because of their excellent customer service and reasonable rates.

So Energy are not the cheapest deal I can get, but still I have stuck with them for three years now because their customer service is *so* good. And the very cheapest deals look bad to me. Email or phone, and you get a real person with common sense .. a rare commodity these days. I am very pleased with So Energy.
When the current fix ends I will look around but if they are there or thereabouts, I will happily stay.
I just hope they stay solvent!
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..

Just about to resign for a 3rd year. Comparison sites list a couple of cheaper 'small company' options with not many reviews, but I've been happy with the ease of So Energy's simple website I'm staying for another year.
  • Apologies for a possibly silly question, but does anyone have any really recent experience of trying to make contact with So energy? Have tried phoning several times - long wait - recorded message about press 1 for call back - call back with recorded message only to tell me everyone busy and no call back and now waiting 2 days for reply email to some simple questions> no the questions are not on the FAQ.pages.
Would like to transfer supply to Soenergy but initial signs regarding service are not encouraging.
    Any up to date ideas?
    thanks.

    Hello John,

We are extremely sorry for the delay in responding to your emails and answering your phone calls. The festive period has created increased work loads and delays in responding to our customers. We are trying hard to get our response times back to our usual standard. This is not our usual standard honestly.

In the meantime can you please forward your email to complaints@so.energy and I can ensure that someone gets back to you ASAP.

    Thanks

I read on some posts that people are using the website to submit meter readings. I assume if I have a Smart Meter, I wouldn't have to do this. Thinking of swapping to So Energy, but certainly don't want to go back to having to remember to read meters again.
  • @wotcha
I'm afraid that most smart meters become dumb when you transfer suppliers. There is currently no guarantee that the new company (in this case So Energy) can use the smart part of the meter.
