I'm sorry but every time I come on and write something my phone dies or internet drops or something anything so that my posts just font come on here. So I just give up.
I'm terrible at painting but not as bad as hubby. Progress is seriously slow as he's been deployed since before the move so I'm attempting everything with two screaming kids round my ankles.
Money seems to be spending itself at the moment but that's Christmas for you I guess.
The electrics are underway with a friend sorting it for us. Carpet is being laid next week. 2 rooms are decorated (badly). And already need touch ups due to the explosion of a light switch and a light moving from wall to ceiling. And loads of the floorboards are being fixed/replaced. And ordered new windows for January.
I'm going a bit mad. We haven't moved in yet. That will be next week hopefully.
I don't feel very mse but the window seals are broken and covered in black mould so I don't want to just reseal them as thats nearly as expensive and we got the house cheap so we can do these things. Plus you can't open or lock some windows and one is cracked so the lock will fall off soon.
Struggling a bit with the location.
    Hope you're all well xxx

Well the Christmas tree is up and is "not as good as nannys". That's what's finished me off in honesty. It really hurt to hear that. Being told i was too fat for our bath was fine but that!
Anyway I was supposed to add my new goals. Debt has gone up but it's solicitors fees not silly spending so im not going to stress about it.
    Aims
*Debt free for 2020 when i turn 30
    *No more credit cards
*Get me and the girls settled in our new area
    *Lose a stone

So there you go. It'll be hard but we can do it. Just have to make the effort. Xxx

  • I didn't realise you were so young Kitten - you have achieved so much and doing so well. I am sure your tree is lovely, children can be so funny and cheeky whilst being so innocent...don't take it to heart. You have done well not going crazy buying stuff for a new house, would have been so easy to have gotten out of control. Enjoy making memories in your new home for your first Christmas. Will your husband be home or away? xxx

Kitten you have achieved so much, who'd have thought this time last year that you would be in a lovely house getting all prepared for your first christmas in your forever home with your girls :)

Chin up and carry on painting (I'm rubbish at it too, but OH is worse - you should see the kitchen - he was supposed to do the top of the walls, there is more on the ceiling than the walls, I'm surprised anyone wanted to buy it :rotfl:)

I'm relieved you're not the best at painting too. I think it's this satin paint we bought for the wood panelling. It peels off like it's plastic. It's really put me off. It's like we can't finish that room constantly redoing the edging. But we have moved on to the hall. I've gone for cosy grey with a silk finish and I'm pooing my pants that it's the same colour as every car in 2001. Or a little boys space bedroom. Keep googling 'grey hallways' to reassure myself. I thought silk was going to look luxurious... add class and depth... hmm. It's only the first coat. I'm not doing the next coat tonight. I want to hide under a duvet. Kids have been relentless today. Just so clingy and screamy.
Life without credit cards is still going. Yay. Although I haven't got it off of hubby yet.
Debt is going down yay. But slowly boo. But it's all part of attempting to budget. Must focus on it and not how slowly it's going down. Debt will be £10800 this time next year. So shall we try to get it down to £10k? Or just plod?
Hope you're all doing well xxxx

And thank you both. I have achieved lots in a short time thanks to hubby. I needed to hear that as had a crap conversation with my boss. Can't get a promotion without going full time. They don't seem to realise that being a forces wife you have to always be available. Being a mum is more important than work but i don't think it should be an either or. Really irritated me. Thank you xxxx
