Whoops. Never mind. Helped me get perspective back. We wanted a fixer upper. Admittedly we can't afford one that's done. Me and hubby are excited to fix it. And what's more pretty houses are just at risk of things going wrong as ugly houses. At least we went in eyes open
and no guilt ripping up the floor to check the electrics. It's perfect. It's just a shame we have no money to fix it up but does mean we will take the time to really think about what we want. Plus I'll have to spend money so at least that means quidco. Thats one money saving thing i struggle with as i always did have points and vouchers for Christmas and now I don't spend money I don't get them anymore. BUT for our new mortgage we get £1000 cash back so that's fab to have that money to sort out the safety issues
serious score.
Hope you're all doing well. Thank you for popping in xxxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

So we've moved out and I'm at my mum's. On completion day the new owners actually turned up and told us to hurry up. Unbelievable. Still no further forward. I am trying though. The company want us to hurry up and exchange when their solicitors holding things up.
Just want the next part of our lives to begin now. It's exciting and scary but if we start it stops being scary and we just start doing it. I've been picking out tiles and bathroom suitespicking it out now so I can find the cheapest deals when the time comes. Before you declare me un-mse the current suite is from the 50s. Getting excited to quidco my new bills. And everything else.
The move has also taught me that I have not decluttered anywhere near enough. I thought I did brilliantly. No chance. Efforts must be doubled. At least.
Could have gone mad today in Wilkinsons. All such lovely stuff. Didn't spend a bean though.

I hope you get to exchange soon Kitten. Maybe you should threaten to pull out if you don't exchange soon, that may put the frighteners on the vendor.
You should absolutely look at new fixtures and fittings for your home. There is always a sale on!!!! I'd recommend avoiding b&q and homebase and try independent specialist shops. For example, when we were looking for a new back door, b&q wanted over £200 and a friend suggested we go to a door specialist on an industrial estate which was well under half the price.0 -
Have you exchanged yet?0

No! Still at my mums. And I'm sulking big time. I'm going round the bend. Don't seem to be saving any money either. Mainly as they took the mortgage out of my account
I've been making loads of complaints to everyone. Leaving the flat has caused so many issues with suppliers. Keep trying to charge me for the new owners usage. Grr. Doing well with compensation though. Counting down the days to payday and my mortgage goes back into my account.
Hope everyone else is doing well. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Few tumbleweeds blowing through here. I don't come on my own diary because I feel like a fraud. I can't stay mse because hubby spends left right and centre and I can't keep track of the budget. And just having him in the country seems to cost much more on food etc.
I'm already getting ants in my pants about Christmas. Doing well getting bargains for my girls. Hubby seems to have an ever expanding list of stuff he wants.
We still havent exchanged so I am increasingly stressed about that.
Hope youre all doing well xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Sorry about the lack of exchange Kitten, must be driving you mad now!
Is hubby aware of the impact his spending will be having on you, and how well you've done whilst he's been away? Perhaps he needs an allowance to keep him on track? Whatever works for you really. It's my main reason for keeping our finances separate apart from our joint 'household' account - I'd go mad if I could see his bank account I'm sure!
Chin up - all will be wellxx

We've exchanged! Exchanged Friday. Get the keys 18th. Feel relieved but at the same time indifferent. I don't believe it's going to happen. Plus the added issue in the mix is that hubby is not going to be around. Not at weekends. Nothing. He's got the completion day off and that's it. He'll be there to put all our stuff in which is something I guess. I've got some time off to crack on with cleaning it all. And hopefully decorate baby's room and be around for workmen. All very exciting but i don't want to do it alone. I like us doing everything as a team. But no change there I guess.
I'm going a bit Christmas bargain nuts and spending. Only buying bargains. It's just tough as I can't not spend for Christmas. I just get over excited with it.
Hope you're all doing well too xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Congrats kitten, must be such an exciting time for you! I remember it quite well, even though it's been a while... good luck with the move, so much work!0

How exciting!! Congratulations Kitten!
It's all the exciting stuff now, and I'm sure you'll be excited to show hubby the things you've achieved over weekends. Plus you're WonderKitten, you'll be like a whirlwind and get everything sorted.
It's killing me not to buy anything for Christmas. We've made a deal that if we don't complete before Christmas we are putting Xmas on hold until January. You can't resist a bargain and definitely not with little onesxx
