Aww, I know ya does - thank you to everyone who has posted encouragement.

*sigh* I just feel I've really had enough. Despite morphine I'm still in constant pain, my nerves are like shards of glass, and I just don't think I can take any more.:(

To give the lady Mr LW spoke to her due, she was very good, and once she realised I was close to throwing up through nerves, she relayed the rest of the stuff she was required to read out to me (the standard bit about if I make a false declaration I can be prosecuted, etc, etc) via Mr LW. But of course her involvement ends there; we don't know what the forms will be like when they come; if I have to have a face-to-face I can't deal with men so we'll have to request a woman do it (and may be refused this), and if I have to travel I'll be half-dead before we even start! Plus of course Mr LW will have to take time off to be with me, as I can't deal with anyone without his presence.
And of course I'm the sort of person who imagines the worst-case scenario right from the beginning.

Someone just take me to the vet and have me put down, please? *wry grin*

They ask you to go to a local health centre and you do not have to go alone and you can request a certain gender, they even asked DS3 if he preferred male/female.. I promise you it will be ok.. Mr Wolf will be there and he would never let anything happen to you.

The forms are much easier to deal with than the painful DLA ones.. they have pictures and everything.. do not fear them they are much much easier to deal with.. they took me about 15 minutes to complete. I swear to you they are not scary.

You won't get anything wrong.. you've been doing this a long time.

the initial visit to get Mr Wolf as nominated person they spend about 5 minutes going through stuff.. it is super quick they don't ask any questions just that you wish the person to act for you.

If there was anything to worry about you know I would not hide it from you.. that's not my style.

    You will be fine.. xxx

  • Evening,

Ha ha Valli that made me laugh.
LW have a log for the big BD. More often than not the worrying about something is worse that the actual thing. Does Mr LW know how low you are now? If not please tell him. Hugs xx

I'm not flying at the moment, just struggling. Found nits on Dd1, so this afternoon spent de -lousing everyone. Including me. Yuck. Then took dd1 to Brownies, cooked meal, walked dog. No time or energy left. House mess. When am I supposed to find time to decorate the new rooms downstairs? Doomed to live in hovel forever.

Oh dear sorry, rant over xxx

De-lurking from building my Ark in the [STRIKE]swamp[/STRIKE] garden to add my words of support LameWolf. You are very much wanted on this forum and a valued flylady to us all. I love reading about the dogs you look after and hearing your news. I know you struggle with people and social situations IRL, but here, online, you are among friends :kisses3: Having bad thoughts about suicide is not good and I strongly echo the advice you've had about confiding in Mr Wolf. That is something my first husband never did with me, instead continuing to be the life and soul of the party until it got too much for him. Although I've remarried a wonderful man, I miss my first husband every single day. Please, please ask for help.

Still flood defending, so no flying done here. Seems pointless cleaning if it all gets soaked and filthy - Storm Barney - just "do one" will ya?!

Note t been around much today. In no particular order this was my day

DD2 helped me download some pictures and put them in an e-mail.

    Quality time with DD2.

Went into town on the bus and treated myself to a trip to the cinema to see the Bond film. Loved it!

Punched the air with delight - got a text to say that DD2 and her OH have exchanged contracts on the purchase of a house. They get the keys on Friday week.

Took pity on DH and went and bought his Christmas present to me - I have asked for a Pandora charm bracelet. I can trust him to buy charms but I needed to try it on. It's fantastic and I love it.

Met DH and did some bits of food shopping with him before coming home.

I managed to make it to Slimming World. Sadly I have gained, but everyone thinks I look better than last week.

Hope to be around more tomorrow, storm Barney permitting..

  • Sending warm wishes to people on here struggling at the moment.

Dealt with some clutter in the baby's room which has been there since before the summer. I don't know how long I'll be able to stick with this as I am not consistent at all, but no matter what, this thread has inspired two days of cleaning and clearing and has been so helpful. Thank you :)

There are now nine traps out. Nothing last night - mouse managed to take the bait from one of them!

Mouse is now "late". Sorry. I've had furry friends in the past - deliberately - but not wild ones sharing my food and trotting across my work surfaces.

LW more big hugs from not too far away from you. I so hope things aren't as bad for you as what you expect, and we will all be with you in spirit.

Went to cinema this eve, lots of small branches littering the road and when Mr N walked his mum up to her flat, a huge gust came and she would have been over for sure had he not been there. Usually she is very independent and hates us even to watch her walk to the door from the road. Sounds very wild out there still.

Managed zumba this morning then 1 student.
Came home via posting a parcel, getting diesel, getting new ink for printer in Stap**s (furious the last Tesb0 one lasted only a month - may complain as I haven't printed more than usual this month). Looked at printers while I was there, have been hankering after one that is wireless, does automatic double sided and has document feed now work is so busy. One of the cashback sites has 9% off so I'll do some calculations tomorrow.

Just got to print and sort stuff for tomorrow as I've got 2 assessments to do and an early start, groan.

Hope everyone's roof stays on tonight and the river banks hold.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Evening all :hello:

Oh LW -I wish I were nearer to you and could pop in and have a cuppa with you and a chat. Please listen to Pigpen about how easy it is to get sorted, even choosing the gender of person you want to talk with, and do talk it over with Mr LW, your very best friend. Just remember that we all love you very much and need you here.

Hope you're staying safe Dizzy in the threat of floods again. I am commiserating with you as we were washed out one year in another place, so hoping you stay dry.
