Hi everyone,
Sorry I've not been around to update on my dog situation but I've been preoccupied with Rocco, my new puppy
I did try to adopt a rescue dog but the rescue messed me around for a week then gave the dog I wanted to someone elseThey said he wasn't suitable for my home but didn't explain why. He wasn't suitable for the home they gave him to as he was returned to rescue a few days later, I don't know what happened. I was so upset that after taking up my time asking pointless questions and wanting to home check my family as well as myself they treated me like this with no explanation so I bought a puppy from a private seller. I know some of you won't approve but I needed a dog that would get on with other dogs where I spend a lot of time and I didn't want to wait any longer after the rescues I'd dealt with were quite unhelpful.
Anyway Rocco has now settled in well and I couldn't be happier with him. He's hard work but worth it for the joy he bringsHe's an 8 week old Staffordshire Bull Terrier

The Portion Cucumbers keep going from 24p to 21p to 24p and back again on the APG - I think it was Monday's collection three weeks ago, Monday's two weeks ago, Wednesday's last week and I don't know whether or not it is currently on 21p or 24p. As portions tend to be bigger than halves, it would seem better to get the portion versions in any event vs M. As far as I'm aware, they have been constant 24p in M throughout, having risen a few pence to that in M probably a month or two ago (but for some reason the APG keeps going to 21p on some collections and then back again. It's random:rotfl:). Whether it's 21p or 24p, even 24p is the same as a whole at 48p (though you probably get a bit more cucumber buying two portion ones - and no need to buy two!). I don't know if whole cucumbers are currently against Sains or W at 45p though? I lose track of whether it's the cucumbers or the 335g Broccoli these days - but I do think one or other of those is a lot more expensive in Sains/W!
That's true actually about the wombles - I go and return to A and then, when I'd thought I'd previously cleared everything out on the previous collection of wombles - I find another one from several days earlier (obviously people must, for some reason, keep bringing back their old receipts with them, from shops a few days ago, and then somehow losing them).0 -
1st day Amex Shop Small
All I had time for was £10 of beer for £5
and
£40 of stamps for £20
Stuck in 11 miles and a few conversations with really interesting people
Stamps! What a good idea. If I recall the post office deal is separate to the shop small. Checked: it is valid to 31/12.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. This was a Spar
So you can spend £10 at the post office counter and then £10 at the spar counter and buy stamps at both. Brilliant!
Post office offer is only on OH's card: do you think he will trust me with it? :rotfl:I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. How about those tuna lunch packs that have tuna, sweet corn, peppers etc. They look a bit like a large cat food tin LOL
Sandwich spreads in a jar?

He isn't a very healthy eater TM, so not sure nuts and raisins would cut it. Chocolate would, but you know what its like, you need savoury food too (or I do anyway, even if I've eaten enough chocolate to make me sick I still feel I need a savoury meal!).
Lots of ideas from people, so thank you.0
