  • I've been shopping in A for such a long time now I'd forgotten how amazing it can be using studenty types in T at weekends:rotfl:

Whilst I struggle with most vouchers in A, lovely young people in T seem to have the attitude "if it scans, I'll take it".

9 x Barilla vouchers, 4 x McCains vouchers (with £4 overage) meant lots of free stuff and Smirnoff at £11 per litre.

It doesn't take much to make me happy..:D

    4 x MCCAIN ROASTS 800G £8.00 £4.00
    1x SMIRNOFF RED LABEL VODKA 1 LITRE £15.00 £15.00
    1x BARILLA FUSILLI 500G £1.00 n/a
    1x BARILLA WHOLE WHEAT FUSILLI 500G £1.00 n/a

Afternoon nutters, just a little update to say I sorted out the situation that had me it tears in the week,,,,,,,,,,went into work with everything documented but hidden & asked for a meeting and put my side. Before I could even finish the perpetrator grovelling in such a way that I nearly fainted.
He said he had been having a bad day (what), and realised he had made a big mistake when he saw the horror on my face....anyways everything is sorted, just to sort out the other manager on monday :( hope all have a fab weekend and lots of coupons and glitches abound xxx
    Glad you sorted it:T
I wondered if I can pick your brains, as you're such a clever lot!

DS is going on a coach trip to Disneyland Paris for New Years Eve. Am pretty jealous, would love to go but not in a position to healthwise this year. Anyway, I digress....

He leaves at 7.30pm on 30th, and will be back around 10am on 1st. 2 nights sleeping on a coach.

He wants it to be as cheap as possible, so looking for food ideas that might survive that length of time. I think he is going to take a cool box with ice blocks on the coach, so I suggested he could freeze some sandwiches and pasties.

Anyone done this kind of thing before and have some good ideas?
We have been on loads of coah holidays, Germany, France, Austria, Hungry , Spain, used to go 2 or 3 times a year, we always took sandwiches , s rolls, crisps, CHOCOLATE:rotfl: all snacky thngs and plenty of drinks, what company is he going with?
Did you tell him about headlights?
On another note dont know if you know but massive fire at Hungry Horse sixfields, i went up to argos and it was chaos when i was coin back, traffic queuing right down to far cotton:eek: luckily i was coming other way, think i must have just got there as it started, but this wind will be making it hard for the fire brigade :eek:

I made a massive pan of spag Bol last night...the real thing....celery carrots, fresh basil leaves and garlic from the allotment. And half a bottle of squigs Fausty wine:D. I used only one tin of toms and a jar of the Barilla bolognaise sauce. I washed the jar out with water:D
It was lush. It's a really good sauce:T

    Hi everyone,

Sorry I've not been around to update on my dog situation but I've been preoccupied with Rocco, my new puppy :)

I did try to adopt a rescue dog but the rescue messed me around for a week then gave the dog I wanted to someone else :( They said he wasn't suitable for my home but didn't explain why. He wasn't suitable for the home they gave him to as he was returned to rescue a few days later, I don't know what happened. I was so upset that after taking up my time asking pointless questions and wanting to home check my family as well as myself they treated me like this with no explanation so I bought a puppy from a private seller. I know some of you won't approve but I needed a dog that would get on with other dogs where I spend a lot of time and I didn't want to wait any longer after the rescues I'd dealt with were quite unhelpful.

Anyway Rocco has now settled in well and I couldn't be happier with him. He's hard work but worth it for the joy he brings :) He's an 8 week old Staffordshire Bull Terrier
