In the queue she said 'Did you get your toothbrush?' and I said 'No, I got a grapefruit.'

How does a family with A earning £50K, B running a self-employed business, contribute £40K to A's pension, get £17K of tax credits, £5K of higher rate pension refund, & spend what they need to live on for a year?
