I wondered if I can pick your brains, as you're such a clever lot!

DS is going on a coach trip to Disneyland Paris for New Years Eve. Am pretty jealous, would love to go but not in a position to healthwise this year. Anyway, I digress....

He leaves at 7.30pm on 30th, and will be back around 10am on 1st. 2 nights sleeping on a coach.

He wants it to be as cheap as possible, so looking for food ideas that might survive that length of time. I think he is going to take a cool box with ice blocks on the coach, so I suggested he could freeze some sandwiches and pasties.

Anyone done this kind of thing before and have some good ideas?

Would he have an opportunity to purchase food items whilst he is there? French supermarkets are pretty competitive with prices although in Disneyland itself I should imagine it to be expensive.

How about a flask of hot soup/ stew for the journey out and some crusty bread and sandwiches for later. He could have the bread ready buttered and have it with one of those tuna tinned snak type things... Saves having soggy bread. Hot dog sausages the tinned variety can also be heated and put in a flask to keep hot.

What about pot noodle or rice type snacks that you add boiling water to.... I'm sure he'd be able to get a mug of hot water from a cafe or coffee shop. Whilst he is there.

Just thought... Supermarket pasta or potato type salads ready made usually have a 2-3 day shelf life. They'd keep well in the cool box.

some of the coach's have small kitchen type areas, so if you can find that out, there will be hot water for pot noodles, cuppa soups, tea, coffee etc :)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

I read it as you can only register one card as looked into using credit card but only allowed to use the card you registered with which was flex account.:)

    Good Afternoon all.

I have two nationwide flex accounts with two separate debit cards so I guess I could get two but have only got the one for now. :)
  • Has anyone used one of those emergency power charges for phones? Wondering if they are a good purchase,,

I think it was if you look carefully you can only see 2 marks where the knife cut into the board.

ILTS Mr TS hid some snickers bars yesterday only bought because he had to get cashback as ATM wasn't working. I found them yesterday and just going to see if one is still there for me. ;)
