Can I ask what this is please.

When you get receipts from the ATM outside certain supermarkets, they have money off coupons on the reverse. Sometimes.

That is what DD2 has asked for too. She said she actually had to buy herself socks this year a first.

DS2 said when he lived in uni halls it was cheaper to throw socks away and buy new from Primark than to do a wash at the coin operated launderette!

Little lurker here (.used to post more regularly but RL got in the way). There's a charity called Give and Makeup who supply makeup and toiletries to women and children fleeing domestic violence. They accept pretty much anything, even some part used items (although not mascara or applicator products like that for health reasons) here's a link below. Hope it's useful.

That is really useful thanks kerri. What a wonderful idea. :A

I wondered if I can pick your brains, as you're such a clever lot!

DS is going on a coach trip to Disneyland Paris for New Years Eve. Am pretty jealous, would love to go but not in a position to healthwise this year. Anyway, I digress....

He leaves at 7.30pm on 30th, and will be back around 10am on 1st. 2 nights sleeping on a coach.

He wants it to be as cheap as possible, so looking for food ideas that might survive that length of time. I think he is going to take a cool box with ice blocks on the coach, so I suggested he could freeze some sandwiches and pasties.

Anyone done this kind of thing before and have some good ideas?

Is Watford too far for you? The Extra has them. You don't even need to use the atm as so many people have just dropped the slips on the ground

Thank you, I am right near Heathrow, so can get pretty much anywhere. Dh wants to go to Amsterdam in March with his Aussie rules football team, and is grovelling.... A lot:D so he will go for me tonight:D:D

While I am on the subject of what he is doing, and as the year is once again coming to a close, I would like to thank each and every member of this group:o:o
Thanks to all you guys and gals, you have made my families lives much easier. This year we have managed to move house, have a big family holiday and lots of other treats that generally we couldn't afford:). It has also allowed my Dh to go to university to get a degree in history, with which he hopes to become a teacher after.
It also allows me to be able to donate to the food box regularly, as we never know, one day we may need it.
So once again, thank you, all of you so very, very much xxx:o:o:o

    P.s, sorry for being soppy!!!!
