While I am on the subject of what he is doing, and as the year is once again coming to a close, I would like to thank each and every member of this group:o:o
Thanks to all you guys and gals, you have made my families lives much easier. This year we have managed to move house, have a big family holiday and lots of other treats that generally we couldn't afford:). It has also allowed my Dh to go to university to get a degree in history, with which he hopes to become a teacher after.
It also allows me to be able to donate to the food box regularly, as we never know, one day we may need it.
So once again, thank you, all of you so very, very much xxx:o:o:o
P.s, sorry for being soppy!!!!Mumto2monkeys wrote: »Would he have an opportunity to purchase food items whilst he is there? French supermarkets are pretty competitive with prices although in Disneyland itself I should imagine it to be expensive.
How about a flask of hot soup/ stew for the journey out and some crusty bread and sandwiches for later. He could have the bread ready buttered and have it with one of those tuna tinned snak type things... Saves having soggy bread. Hot dog sausages the tinned variety can also be heated and put in a flask to keep hot.
What about pot noodle or rice type snacks that you add boiling water to.... I'm sure he'd be able to get a mug of hot water from a cafe or coffee shop. Whilst he is there.
Just thought... Supermarket pasta or potato type salads ready made usually have a 2-3 day shelf life. They'd keep well in the cool box.Sunflower1227 wrote: »some of the coach's have small kitchen type areas, so if you can find that out, there will be hot water for pot noodles, cuppa soups, tea, coffee etc
qoc, had already thought of a flask, although it wouldn't last that long I don't think. Hopefully can get hot water on the coach.0 -
He could also take his own cereal/muesli and a little carton of milk.0

Afternoon all
Bit blowy here as well.
I like it.It blows the cobwebs off and makes you feel alive.
I got a couple of wombles but were from november so no point in posting them.
Wombled a cashpoint mccain coupon from when asdas cashpoint was dishing them out a couple of weeks ago.
Got one womble from today. The cucumbers are now comparing to morries.
1x ASDA Grower's Selection Cucumber (EACH) £0.49 £0.48 A v M
The rest of todays wombles have probally blown into the middle of next week.:rotfl:
Those Cucumbers have been comparing for a short while now. The Portion Cucumbers keep going from 24p to 21p to 24p and back again on the APG - I think it was Monday's collection three weeks ago, Monday's two weeks ago, Wednesday's last week and I don't know whether or not it is currently on 21p or 24p. As portions tend to be bigger than halves, it would seem better to get the portion versions in any event vs M. As far as I'm aware, they have been constant 24p in M throughout, having risen a few pence to that in M probably a month or two ago (but for some reason the APG keeps going to 21p on some collections and then back again. It's random:rotfl:). Whether it's 21p or 24p, even 24p is the same as a whole at 48p (though you probably get a bit more cucumber buying two portion ones - and no need to buy two!). I don't know if whole cucumbers are currently against Sains or W at 45p though? I lose track of whether it's the cucumbers or the 335g Broccoli these days - but I do think one or other of those is a lot more expensive in Sains/W!
That's true actually about the wombles - I go and return to A and then, when I'd thought I'd previously cleared everything out on the previous collection of wombles - I find another one from several days earlier (obviously people must, for some reason, keep bringing back their old receipts with them, from shops a few days ago, and then somehow losing them).0 -
To the person who's thinking of coach lunch ideas.
How about those tuna lunch packs that have tuna, sweet corn, peppers etc. They look a bit like a large cat food tin LOL
Sandwich spreads in a jar?
Pasties?0
