I just hope tomorrow is better, well it cant be any worse... can it

  • The way I use is to press the print screen button on your keyboard
, then go into paint or microsoft word right click and select paste
    then save as normal
  • You should all pool your knowledge/problems here like a virtual office.

I was thinking about something similiar myself, are Teletech offering some way for all the @home employees to communicate with each other and share their experiences? (especially in the first few weeks).

It must be had for people doing this completely alone, without realising MSE is here. If they aren't offering something like this then I think I would definitely suggest it, I mean this thread is good but it's one of the longest in history hehe

A purpose built forum or chat room might be useful for @home employees, anyone else think so? I'm a web designer so could even get it set up if they agree! :rotfl:hahaha, seriously though from working in call centres I'm telling you there is nothing like being able to share your experiences as you said, all while keeping to confidentiality of course and blocking access to non-employees

You only get the chat area unfortunately, they don't have a staff forum. Screenshots can be ctrl+V 'd straight into word docs etc so if you are trying to screenshot loads of things then prtscn what you want to grab and ctrl+v into a doc. It's quick and if all goes wrong you can always tidy up afterwards or split the screenshots down into proper topics. I've got over4 40Mb of docs now with screenshots in.
  • Hey everyone

Sounds like last night wasn't too painful for everyone (and at least the first 'live' call is over now!)

I've decided to not go ahead with this. The shift patterns are just too awkward for me at the moment (I'm trying to renovate my house and my evenings are the only time I get to do this!) I might do it later on next year if they have vacancies but now is not the right time I think. Plus I just got accepted to AQA and I think I might enjoy that more!

Good luck everyone though! I will be following this thread with interest
  • So how we all settling in then?, those in the same training week as me
are on our last nesting night tonight, And I feel much happier now than I did
on Wednesday calls have been steady but not bang bang one after another
it feels quite relaxed really, I imagine it helps not having your supervisor over your shoulder like you might have in real call centre

I got paid today for the first time, so all the sceptics theres the proof it's
not a scam, that's all i have to say really hope it's going well for all the others too

Also for those in training once you finish in the 3rd week on Friday you wont have to work Sat/Sun your working week will start on the Monday so in my case my first day is Tuesday

How do they pay you? Do you have to hand over your bank details?

    cheers

  • They pay by BACS like most employers nowadays
  • Wife is finding it all a bit stressful. She is going to work tonight and then decide what to do. She feels very overwhelmed and lost and the super users are very slow at replying. One was also rude to her last night. Not on for £6 an hour.
