  • Hiya

I have done all my online assesments and have an interview tomorrow at 7:30pm. What happens now anyone know? I mean do you get the results as to whether you have passed the online assesments or not before the interview?

    Thanks for any help.

  • Many thanks PaulK. I am with AOL now. I am thinking of migrating to sky, where I will get a router for free amongst other advantages. I didn't quite catch the last part of your mail. All I could understand was, you connect the wireless router instead of the modem. I suppose I will be clearer when I have actually done it. Thanks again.

as long as you are on your physical ethernet connection it should in theory over ride the wireless, especially in workbooth as you just boot from the CD with the ethernet cable in and the CD does the rest for you.

  • I got my workbooth CD today. And all seemed to be going well but after i enter my hirepoint ID and email address it then says 'failed to post data' any ideas why or how i can fix it. i've tried the workbooth FAQs. Does this mean that workbooth cannot connect to teletech to send my computer information? I'm lost yet again LOL.

Yes you will need a router, they are not expensive these days and also help to make it easier to expand your home network (when needed) and can also add a layer of protection from rubbish on the net. What internet provider do you use?
If your child starts making a lot of background noise and the caller (or QA or your TL) hear it then there could be issues. The phone base/ headset unit that will be sent out to you at some point has a mute button on it but you should not use it during calls unless you really really have to as it's a no-no.
Anyone with a wireless router should be able to just plug the pc into it via ethernet cable while working (it's what I do on my laptop when taking calls), as long as you are on your physical ethernet connection it should in theory over ride the wireless, especially in workbooth as you just boot from the CD with the ethernet cable in and the CD does the rest for you.
Your best bet during training is a cheap speakerphone setup as that will free your hands up for notes and typing, once using your headset and phone base supplied by Teletech you will have no problems.

Hello Paul Thanks for the info, Hopefully my baby wont be screaming most the time but my partner is around in the evening and also at weekends so hopefully it will be fine. My office is in also in a separate room. Do you know how the breaks work, and how long they are? If i had to leave my desk for 1 min would this usally be allowed if i go into breaks on the system or are the breaks schduled for a certain time each day.

Messenger will you also be starting training for the tech role on the 4th August with me and Rufus?

Depends on how many hours you are working as you may have a set break period, if only working 4 hours you get 12 mins of "personal time" to use during the shift. As long as you don't go past 12 mins you are ok to take it any time as long as not within the first 30 mins of a shift or last 30 mins I think.
If your office area is in another room (hopefully with a door) then the noise issue should not be a problem.
