Just as well you didn't! Seems to me that the ones who first joined it from here, were perhaps treated with a bit more decency than they are doing off late. So I'm glad it worked out well for the first lot but I think their standards in how they are treating people have slipped somewhat since then.
I think you're right there. There must be so many people applying. In my current job, I provide Live Help tech support for a major UK ISP. About a week or so ago, I had a customer come through asking:Hi there, I'm trying to run a program on my computer and it's telling me, "You must have a local router between you and the internet to run the Workbooth Software. It seems that your IP Address (/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) is a direct connection to the internet. Either disable this connection, or place a router between it and the Internet", do you know what this means please?
I chuckled to myself and I asked, "You're not, by any chance, trying to apply for a job with TeleTech, are you?" The customer was surprised, I think, but anyway, the chat resulted in my advising her to change her USB broadband modem for an ADSL router.
Funny though, eh? Guess TeleTech have so many applicants they're just too busy to contact everyone. And giving rejection feedback can't be their highest priority, I suppose.0 -
I wasn't looking for feedback. I was looking for an answer to some problems they were having when submitting the test assessment results and have been trying to do so since 19th March!
As far as the feedback for jammin, I think it is considered good manners by any reputable company to give feedback when asked. I have been in the working world for the past 22 years and can't say that giving feedback is a new or American thing. Just good manners.
Glad things are working well for you though
Jammin- So you were basically giving out the tech help that teletech should have been giving to their potential new employee then lol0 -

Thanks Auddel and I hope it all works out good for you with teletech0

Precisely! Talk about irony. Apparently I'm not good enough to work for TeleTech, but I then find myself providing technical support for other potentials TeleTech employees! You couldn't make it up. :rolleyes:0 -
Lol now that does take the biscuit somewhat!!! Check your PM's I just sent you one, but I have to shoot off now so will check later for a reply.0

hello! I have done the assesments and teletech have rung me to arrange an interview for tomorrow at 1pm. After I uploaded my CV they rang me within 10 mins?? then have rang me everyday to chase me up on the assesment as I hadnt done it yet. Finally I did it today and they rung up straight away to sort the interview? so they seem to be on hand for this sort of thing. Hopefully the interview will go well. Anyone any pointers on what the interview is like? up to now I have struggled to hear them very well on the phone!
I have gone for a customer service role, I think its 3-9 weekends. I thought maybe if I go along with that and keep my weekday job for now, then if it works out to be good I was hoping to ask for weekday hours? any ideas on whether that is at all likely?
I will probably fail at the interview but hopefully not. Any advice would be great! Also, they are not likely to eventually move over here and expect us all to go to an office block are they? is it permanent AT HOME work?
thanks in advance. x0 -
anyone????0

The interview is more of a chat to see how you handle talking to someone on the phone that you do not know, they also look to find out a bit more about you, what your strengths are, what experience you have, why you are applying for the job etc. It's nothing major, as long as you answer the questions without getting flustered and think about your answers yuo should be fine.0

just had my interview. It seemed to go really well. No flustering! I had an answer for everything she asked. She said they would let me know in 3 working days if I was sucessful. she then explained how they would be sending me a workbooth cd and documents out etc and I have to return them in 3 days. She explained they are hiring at the moment for a large internet service provider and they will mainly be technical queries ( I can imagine! I bet most customers are angry by the time they ring!) its 4 -6 hr shifts at a time and 20-30 hours a week. will let you know if I hear anything.0
