Shift swaps and annual leave are always an option although obviously a shift swop for a weekend night is not the most popular ;)

Jammin - I am sorry, I thought you had not received word about your application. It is funny you got your workbooth cd - I did not get mine until after I was told I had got the job and I was starting training I only got it a week before training started along with my employment pack. I know this is no good for you but it would be nice if you got some feedback or at least a reply to your email.

    Congratulations Nicwits!

Are you going to be training for the tech support role?

I am just wondering who else in this forum has been recruited specifically for tech support. As you know, the training starts on 28th April. I have a few questions:

    i) Have you received your hire documents yet?

ii) Which days are you doing your training?

iii) What are the timings for the training?

Sorry I just need to make sure as I don't want it to clash with my other training and job, I have a feeling that it will.

    Hey Angie,

Yes I'm on the Tech Support as well, I got my Welcome Pack and Workbooth CD today. I've not had chance to run the CD yet but I've had a quick read through the info.

Training for me is Monday to Friday and the times I've been given are 4-8pm every day but it's 4-10pm on the first day to give them chance to cover some more info.

    Hope that helps!

I sent an email to Shawna Spring yesterday morning (17/04/2008)..

    No reply as yet.

Still no reply to my request for feedback. As disappointed as I was initially for not getting this job, I'm starting to feel relieved, if this total lack of communication is anything to go by.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting on a reply. I emailed them mid March. No reply. Emailed them end of March, got a generic reply that made no sense as to what I was asking them. Emailed them again on 1st April. And now we are at 24th April, and I still don't have an answer. And that was when the guy I spoke to on Live Help, would make sure my question was followed up personally by him.
So whether they are a good company to work for or not, which seems debatable depending on how you speak to, they are absolutely rubbish at communicating with people.
I have decided this company definitely isn't for me because if this is how they treat potential employees, then it kind of goes without saying that they are going to treat their employees and customers with the same disdain. I prefer to work for companies, with a little bit of integrity. Each to their own I guess.

Absolute nail on head - I couldn't agree more. I'm thinking their rejecting my application may be a blessing in disguise. To think, I was even considering leaving my current job for this.

Just as well you didn't! Seems to me that the ones who first joined it from here, were perhaps treated with a bit more decency than they are doing off late. So I'm glad it worked out well for the first lot but I think their standards in how they are treating people have slipped somewhat since then.

Hi, just to say that I am one of the later recruits to training (only started on 14th April) and I feel I have been treated very well. However, I do understand your frustration at not getting any feedback,. I know that you and jammin have tried numerous times to get feedback etc, but is this something which they do in USA?? Is feedback not maybe a UK thing? Perhaps I am wrong and I apologise if I am.
