Did they not give you the option of staying on record in case the shift you wants comes up? It would be a shame to give up now if there is a chance you could start later!

  • Oh dear! I have just gone out of my way to connect the pc via a hardline and passed the computer requirments, but now I am reading about other people not being able to use the router at the same time (my dh works partly from home and well into the evening and being the breadwinner, obviously his job comes first, it keeps food on the table and a roof over our head), other people being totaly dissatisfied and the staff calling up being short with people and threatening to terminate the application process just makes me think this really isn't for me. I doubt they would be happy about my hols next week, plus I would only be able to accept a 7-11 shift, due to my children not going to bed before 8.30pm. I have worked for enough crap companies in my life to be very wary of what I am applying for. Think I may also leave it here.

Good luck to the rest of you.

Sorry to hear you are going to leave it

How about you carry on with the process and ask to be kept on record till the 7-11 shift comes free, then once I start, I can let you know if others can use the internet at the same time. If they cant, well you can just call it a day then?

It would be a shame to let it go if these little problems can be ironed out, but obviously its up to you :D

That's odd, I just had my tele interview, and the shifts she said they had available were, 5-9 Mon-Thurs, Thurs - Mon, same days 6 - 10, and same days again 7 - 11, perhaps they are using some sort of rating system for shifts.
    Sig ah Sig Ahhh

Well if they are, I am at the bottom with the lowest rating - I got Thurs - Mon, 7-11pm :D
