They can only train so many people at a time and since this thread began the number of applicants has exploded. If you think you have been missed or forgotten send an email to the recruitment area and see if they know what is happening.0

I had to pay 7 pounds to the solicitor I went to. It was a simple process I took my passport got it photocopied and signed and also got a letter which you photocopy from the section 2 booklet and then the solicitor puts there letter head on to it and they sign and stamp it confirming your identity.
i've filled out everything but i'm a bit confused with the what documents i should put in what envelope. i have 2 envelopes one large one and 1 smaller 1, however none have marked "equal opportunites", are we meant to write this onto the smaller enevelope or are we meant to have 1 with that already written on?is the contract then meant to go into the bigger envelope???i'm really confused!!!!!!0 -

Already tried that Paul with no luck.
Just seems as though they are playing games with you first building your hopes up with telephone interviews, emails and assessments and then no contact.
This is the second time they have done this to me the first time saying no suitable hours available and they would be in touch when hours became available, which they have done but now they seem to be playing a game again emailing me to say hours to suit have now become available please do this assesment within 48 hrs, I will also phone you with details of training which hasn't happened
Getting a little peed off now.
I have got a part time job so I'm not relying on getting this job which is perhaps as well;)0 -
I can't understand this recruiting process at all.
I have had the workbooth CD done the PC test everythings fine, had quite a few phone calls from a recruiter and weekly e mails.
Then got an email to do assessment, saying the hours I require are available and training to start on 14/3/08 completed assessment then everything goes quiet.
E mailed recruiter a couple of times with no reply.
Think I may give up seems a funny way of recruiting.
My application has been going since Sept 07, said when hours become available then they will contact me.
I am available Mon-Fri 24 hrs,
Sat and Sun evening how more flexiable can you be?0 -

I just hounded the live help like mad. I guess the thing to do would be to email your recruiter and say you are dropping out. Then it will be interesting to see if they ring and how long it takes!!0 -
ok thanx, i went to solictors today, they said they don't charge but would appreciate a donation that would go towards a charity, i gave £5.

Have just rang around solictors and will go in tomorrow or Wednesday and get my bit signed. Have been quoted £5. The first one said they would ring me back but didn't. Best to ring round a few for the best "deal"!
Also just rang the "CRB" people. Gee they are rubbish!! I emailed them to send a form last week but they didn't. So i've just rang them and left a message on their answering machine. Can't say I have much hope though. We'll see ...0 -
They don't answer emails. Even I emailed them a couple of times previously and no replies.

The small envelope is for the Equal Opportunities form, seal it and put it into the larger envelope along with the Section 1 info (don't forget solicitor's verification and another original proof of ID).0 -

I also am waiting on a CRB form. I emailed them and got a reply saying that they will pass my request to another department but that department will post it 2nd class (does that still exist)....0
