Thanks again Pelican. I found a spring rate at Mint hotels web site (non refundable) £129 inc breakfast. But your suggestion for London Bridge Hotel £120 inc breakfast is also good. Taking into consideration that both hotel are perfectly close from tubes, which hotel you consider better? I see both hotel are not very central but having the tube close it easy to access to all tourist atraction,am i right?
THANKS AGAIN, I wait for your suggestion so I can finally book the rooms.

Weekend tube closures at Tower Hill suggest London Bridge is probably the best option. I don't think the hotels are too non-central, there's a lot of attractions in the City/financial area and around London Bridge as well. Be sure to request rooms facing away from the construction site near the hotel.

thanks again Pelican, I definitly need the tube station (father in law with a smaill problem in his knee) I had no idea the tube is close on weekends (when we will be there! thanks for that!) so the best options seems to be the London Bridge Hotel. I also have the Hilton Kensington but hotel seems to be not so nice, or the Cranley but tube is not close and no breakfast include.

Some lines are closed on certain weekends for maintenance work, it's not an every weekend thing but does seem to be happening on the District & Circle lines when you're in London. Probably the London Bridge hotel is the best for your purpose. The Hilton Kensington isn't bad but some of the rooms are a bit small. The Cranley is supposed to be great but the inclusive breakfast makes the other two better value.

  • Hi All,

It's 1:43am and I am about to CRY!! I've been up so many late nights trying to find a hotel... gah :( Then I found YOU! :) I really hope that you can assist, hubs and I are looking for a hotel from 8-13 May. Is it too early to look now? Somehow that seems to be a peak period (eventhough I checked and there are no bank or school holidays). We have a budget of about £100, although lower would be better for us since it's 5 nights. Our only requirements are clean rooms and good service, plus near a tube station (within zone 1 preferably) with decent access to Charing Cross and Victoria stations. Thank you so much in advance, I really look forward to hearing from anyone~~ forever ever ever grateful!! *BIG HUGS*

    hmmmm.

Hilton London Islington £125 direct. About 4 mins walk to Angel station.
K West £104@ expedia or £126 inc breakfast @ hotelstayuk. About 2-3 mins Shepherd's Bush tube.
Hilton London Kensington £135/nt inc breakfast direct. About 3 mins Shepherd's Bush tube
Hilton London Metropole - I've sent you a PM regarding this one.About 1 min Edgware Rd tube.
    parkcity as before
Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum £131 inc breakfast @ hotelstayuk. Pretty close to Gloucester Road tube.

I have a sneaky suspicion if you booked one room at the London Bridge (still available in some places) or many of the other places that claim to have only 1 room available, a second one would be released fairly quickly but I guess that can't be guaranteed.

Can you break up your stay between two different hotels? It can be tricky to get good deals for such a long stay, particularly overlapping both a weekend and the normal working week.

I can't find anything I'd recommend for you right now for all 5 nights. Church Street and the Re London Shoreditch are the best that are in your price range but neither of them are at all well located. If you can stretch to £107/nt the Park City is available through hotels4u and is an excellent hotel. That rate doesn't include breakfast though.
